Good purchase (edited)
Solid build with strong suction cups. The feeder has three openings for the birds to use which gives them a bit more comfort. The feeder height is tall so birds like a bigger cardinal can easily eat from the feeder. The feeder has a slide in/out tray for the food which is a brilliant feature. Each of the open sides have a protective perch for the birds. So far (knock on wood), the size of the feeder has let the cardinals get food but has kept larger birds like doves and pigeons away. The smaller finches, sparrows and other smaller birds love it too.Our placement is on a window under a covered apartment balcony so we do not have to deal with strong wind nor rain. My only concern if placing this on a window exposed to the elements is the feed would have a tendency to get wet.The physical look is great for now with the plastic looking very clear. I'll have to see how it fares six months from now.Note: we have been feeding birds from this balcony for over a year so getting an immediate response was easy. If placing in a new area, be patient. And follow the directions with the set up by cleaning the window with a good glass cleaner and applying the suction cups carefully. Wait a minute or two and test the hold with a very light press - birds don't have much pull.Update: Sigh, bigger feeder for the cardinals equated into a feeder the doves are determined to visit. They are a little bit too big but still crash into the window trying. Today, the first one crashed and stayed but I managed to shoo it away before it had food. So I put up some strips of paper on the front of the feeder to see if that would deter them yet not repel the other birds. The doves have another area to feed and with this feeder on an apartment balcony, I don't need the 6-10 doves hanging about. I'll update in a couple of weeks with results.Final update - the persistence of the dove wore me down and I have removed the food. The dove would crash into the window but still land enough to perch on the feeder then proceed to eat all the feed. I have read articles with varying solutions to include buying a different feeder and also shooting the dove - both not for me. The only solutions that I liked was replacing the feed with finch feed and taking away the feed in the hope the doves will move on (which I don't think is likely due to our location). So I replaced the wild bird feed with thistle seed and the next morning, there was the dove sitting in the feeder. So I will take the food away for 2-5 months and see if they move on. Shame as I like watching the birds with the window feeders. Buy a smaller one? Did that and the dove somehow figured out how to fly like a dart headed towards a dart board to get the head into the feeder. After 10 months edit: The bird feeder fell when 3 blue jays landed on it but didn't break. But the other night, something else tried to get the suet that I placed in there and the feeder fell and sadly broke. I'm deciding if I can afford another one this month.Suggestions for buyers: having thistle seed kept all the big birds away but also wasn't a favorite of even the finches. I went to "shelled" sunflower seeds and had real good luck with it - we attracted few heavy blue jays or doves plus little messy shells. And finally, the suet slowed down the massive amount of birds at first but then they came back - fine with me since suet was cheaper and lasted longer. But I believe the peanut butter in the suet attracted something big at night leading to the broken feeder. I won't make that decision again :)Good buy though? Oh yes. We are had a wonderful time watching the birds - until the doves came :)

Stays securely attached, even through squirrel raids
I bought this feeder to put on the outside of a 3 panel plate glass office window behind my desk. I placed it on the center window panel thinking that this would be one bird feeder that the squirrels would not be able to get to. I was wrong. A few days after I put it up I heard a lot of commotion going on behind me, and lo and behold there was a squirrel scaling the metal divider between the window panels. Next thing I knew, he was jumping from the divider onto the feeder and chowing down. This is a flat piece of metal that just has a very, very thin strip of rubber between it and the glass, but apparently there is just enough for the squirrels to get a grip on. I've never seen anything like it. Of course, this is no fault of the feeder, we just have super ninja squirrels around here. To the feeder's credit, it has stayed securely attached to the window through multiple feeder raids. It's taken the squirrel attacks perfectly with no cracking or broken pieces so I would say it's quality is very good. The feeder is very easy to install. Just make sure you clean your window really good before sticking it up and it should stay in place. The suction cups are quite tight when you are sliding them into the mounting holes on the feeder bracket but if you pull the cup up with one hand from the back and push it up with the other hand on the front side, it goes into place fairly easily. Then all you have to do is position it where you want it and press firmly on all the suction cups. Fill the feeding tray with your seed, place it on the bracket and you are all set. It's fun to see the birds on the feeder right outside your window, and honestly, it's been fun watching the squirrels scaling the window to get to it too, even if it means that I have to fill the feeder more frequently.

Technical issues with the feeder, but enjoyable for bird watching
The birds love it, but so do the squirrels. They have learned how to launch themselves from nearby screens to the feeder. This has knocked off the tray, breaking it. This made is so the tray wouldn't stay put anymore. So it would still work, I superglued the remains of the tray to the feeder. However, this makes it more difficult to the clean the tray. In addition, before the squirrel knocked off the tray, I was taking the tray in at night so that mice and rats didn't climb my brick exterior and much on the leftover seeds. Now I cannot bring in the left over seeds.Overall, it's a great design. I wish, however, that there were a latch to secure the tray to the feeder to prevent it from falling and breaking. In an area where people walk beneath the window, a falling tray could kill someone.I would also like to see a better system designed for putting the feeder on the window. The current system would work IF the suction cups could be leveled first and then sucked to the window. If a plumb line were part of the design, that would help. Also the suction cups could be the type that you have to activate--not merely squish on. I point this out because when the bird feeder isn't exactly level, the tray has a tendency to fall off and even the whole feeder slides off the window. In addition, I highly recommend that everyone bring their trays in at night to prevent rats and mice from being encouraged to come close to your house. All of this aside, I've really enjoyed watching the birds up close.

No se acercan los pájaros a comer...
Por alguna razón, los pájaros no se acercan al comedero. Compré de los otros que se cuelgan en los árboles y son un éxito!Pero en este no se acercan!

Strong, clean, easy!
After my old window bird feeder fell off and broke for the second time, I put away the superglue and ordered this one instead. Love the removable feed tray - no more tipping the birdseed in sideways to a single, fixed unit. The clear drawer lifts out easily with lots of clearance, so it’s super simple to fill and to clean without having to remove the whole feeder from the window. Although the three suction cups that came with this feeder looked a bit small, it has been up running for four days now with no problems at all. The feeder is filled with peanuts and typically has one or two birds sitting on it at a time, so it clearly holds the necessary weight. It’s perfectly clear so you can watch all the fun from indoors, and fixing a feeder to the middle of a good-sized window is one of the only ways to outsmart squirrels so the birds actually get the food!

A really excellent bird feeder
We bought one of these for someone else and it was such a success that we have now bought one for ourselves. It gives you an excellent view of the birds as they are feeding. It is easy to clean because of the removable tray and the suction pads are really effective. Amazingly quick delivery too!
