Davidson's Essentials of Medicine

Outstanding
A concise and comprehensive summary of medicine. I can see this being an excellent resource during medical school and as a reference book for junior doctors. Explains the basics very well rather than simply listing investigations or specific drug doses, and I appreciated the chapters on clinical decision making and prescribing. It is printed on good quality paper, with clear text, full color and with plenty of tables, figures and illustrations.Note that this is a paperback book unlike the more pocketable Oxford Handbook and Essentials of Kumar and Clark's Clinical Medicine which have rubberized covers. The latter two are very much equivalents of this text. Have a look at them as well before deciding which resource you want to use.Any of these will surely see you through medical school in place of their larger siblings.
