First off I did not read the product discription clearly. I was expecting the light to be full spectrum white light. The light is actually a red/purple color. So if you are planning on using them in an occupied area that maybe a consideration for you. I have set up the lamps in a dedicated room with no direct sun light facing the north side of the building. The cherry tomato plants that have been brought indoors to see if they will thrive and produce throughout the winter are currently growing more vigorously now then when they were on my back porch recieving 8 hrs of direct natural sunlight. They have provided a couple of tomatos already and there are several more growing healthily. There are now several dozen flowers on the two plants that hopefully will be hand polinated and grow. The strawberry plants however appear to be stagnent. They are not dieing but they also are not growing or setting out flowers or runners yet. Nor do the strawberries appear to have gone into winter dormancy. So the lights are good for growing cherry tomatoes indoors but my strawberries may need more time to adjust to their new environment. I have not gotten an electric bill since the lamps were turned on so not sure what the cost of running the lamps for 8 hours a day will be yet.

I bought 4 of these bulbs and put them in those cheap clip-on shop lights with the aluminum reflectors. I grew a huge crop of tomato and peppers seedlings under them at very low cost. This fall, I set the lights up for my orchids and had blooms on a Cattleya that had never bloomed in the ten+ years I'd had it. Keep in mind that these produce really intense light. When the bulbs were brand-new, I wore sunglasses in the room. And, yes, the light IS purple and the neighbors WILL wonder what's going on at your house if you use the bulbs anywhere near a window, but I highly recommend them for producing healthy vegetable seedlings and keeping sun-loving houseplants happy.

I know others say this light is purple but dang they are a very bright purple. They are much brighter than my 150 w heat lamp. The first pic is just the light and it doesn't show how blindingly bright this light is. The second one shows a little bit of how it overwhelmed the 150w heat bulb.

My plant was neglected for a few months and was extremely dehydrated. The first picture was taken mid October. I brought a pot and the bulb for it. It was healthy within a week from the bulb. The last picture was taken 2/27. I stopped using the bulb a month ago to see it if it was the cause of the quick growth and it surely was. It’s been that size for almost 3 weeks.

I like this bulb! I got this so that my plants can flourish more than what they are.

I’ve had this light on the plants for about 2 weeks. I’m not really sure if they like it or not but they seem to be happy. I did have to move my asparagus fern plant though…he didn’t like the light. I got this light because we live on the East Coast and it’s November. The days are getting shorter and there is less daylight. So I turn on the light around 4:30 pm and leave it on for about 6-7 hours. They get regular daylight throughout the day time as they are next to the window. Time will tell but so far, everything is good.

Light is very bright but the package was smashed and taped back together. Had it gotten smashed in shipment, it wouldn't have been taped back together. This light bulb was either USED or damaged before it was shipped out. The package that it came in was fine, but the box that the light bulb was in was smashed and taped back. Luckily, the light works, but I do wonder if it is used.Whomever packed this at Amazon had to know that the contents were bad. NOT IMPRESSED!

plants did great under it but it has a very bright purple light that is kinda hard on the eyes and it burned out at 4 months of daily use.

It’s a very good quality bulb and I’ll probably buy another of them, but it should be more clear from the pictures that it’s a pink light shed. Not what I was looking for for my lounge room.Having said that, the Xmas cactus in my bathroom loves the other bulb (same) I have and is about to flower for the first time since I’ve owned it. It grew noticeably once the bulb was installed (directly next to it).

I used it once and didn't like the purple light but decided to keep it anyway just in case. I stored it in the box and took it out 6 weeks later to try in a different location. The bulb didn't work at all, even though the lamp worked with other bulbs. I tried it out on different lamps but it didn't work in any of them. Very disappointed, especially since I can't return it now.

Zero. An absence of matter. Failure without substance.
