A Fantastic Choice for Podcasting and More:
As a beginner diving into the world of podcasting and voiceovers, I couldn't be happier with my choice of the Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB Cardioid Dynamic Microphone. This versatile microphone is a game-changer, and it's designed to be a reliable companion for years to come. What sets this microphone apart is its dual connectivity. With both USB-C digital output and XLR analog output, it provides flexibility that's hard to beat. While many competitors offer only mini-USB, this microphone goes the extra mile, offering the connectivity options I need for various recording scenarios. It's a simple but powerful feature that makes a world of difference. The microphone itself delivers crisp, clear audio that's a joy to work with. And when paired with a windscreen and a pop filter (both sold separately), it transforms into a radio-quality microphone, capturing every nuance of your voice. Whether you're podcasting, recording voiceovers, or engaging in any content creation, this microphone truly shines. The package comes with both XLR and USB-C cables, making setup a breeze, and the not so sturdy tripod desk stand with folding legs is a practical addition, albeit not very useful for my studio. It's easy to transport, if you were doing a mobile recording or voiceover job, it would work.I have been particularly impressed by the sound quality. The cardioid polar pattern reduces unwanted sounds from the sides and rear, enhancing the isolation of the desired sound source. Now, let's talk about the downsides. It would have been great if a windscreen was included in the package, as it's an essential accessory for minimizing plosives and improving audio quality. Additionally, the stand, while functional, could be more stable. It might wobble a bit, especially if you're working in a busy environment. In summary, the Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB Dynamic Microphone is a fantastic choice for anyone starting a podcast or diving into voiceovers. Its exceptional audio quality, dual connectivity, and ease of setup make it an ideal choice for beginners and a valuable tool for professionals. Just remember to invest in a windscreen, and you'll be well on your way to creating top-notch audio content. This microphone is a sound investment for anyone passionate about recording and podcasting.

Quality Audio For Beginners and Pros Alike!!!
I bought this mic with the intention to use it for commentary, podcasts and on-set recording. The sound quality is phenomenal, super crisp and clean with very little static. I hooked this bad boy up to both my zoom h4 via 48v phantom power and directly to my computer running my capture software, and the sound quality holds up on both ends, I can only imagine the magic this thing can make with a decent audio interface.I will say the one down side is that the mic stand it comes with is very, and I mean VERY, V E R Y cheaply made. The build of it is entirely made of plastic with loose and flimsy joints, so be prepared to upgrade to a more heavy duty stand at some point(which is what people should be doing in the first place instead of basing their initial review of this product on the quality of the stand alone lol, get good dummies). That being said, it's a very small and petty price to pay for a pro-sumer mic of spectacular quality. Pair this with a proper shock-mounted stand and BAM: pro audio in a pinch.Overall, the mic is an absolute must for beginners and pros alike. The price point might be high, but Audio technica has always been a considerable "high end" brand on the pro-sumer market, compared to premiums like Senheiser or Sony, but still offers quality without significantly denting your budget.ALSO, something to note for owners of the OG ATR 2100:I've had experience in using the original 2100(the silver one) from a friend. The sound quality is the same and has the same harware with the exception of the mini usb port vs the 2100x's usb type c. I personally think the upgrade from the 2100 to the 2100x is not worth it, but at the same time there are some people who would look at the updated hardware as a plus.

The mic was great - until the connector failed
This mic worked great. Was really happy with it..... then I wasn't.The USB-C connector started to become loose, and we lost a couple of valuable interviews because the audio was completely unusable, full of noise and static. Tried multiple cables etc - it sadly was the USB-C connection. Buying another Shure MVX2U MOTIV XLR to USB-C Streaming Adapter and using a Shure SM58 or Sennheiser MD 46.Was very cheap - but the value wasn't there.

Really great quality microphone
I bought this USB Microphone for an online DJ Setup on my laptop. I initially used the microphone I used with my mobile DJ setup in the 1990’s with a 6.5 to 3.5 mm adapter and the sound was terrible through the laptop. This USB Microphone plugs into the USB Port on my laptop and delivers crystal clear sound for voiceovers and speaking through the system. I’m very happy I purchased this microphone. You will be happy with this microphone.

Really Fine USB Microphone
I'm very pleased with this microphone. It sounds good and works well. I use it for video conferences and ham radio. It has an nice heft to it, and feels substantial and well made. The included stand is plastic and seems a little flimsy and is not all that attractive, but it works. Lots of cabling comes with the mic. I have only used it in USB mode and have not tried it in an XLR audio application. Definitely worth the price.
