Disappointed
I love both of these authors so I expected a decent book. It didn’t meet that bar. It was a very shallow plot and lousy character development. This wasn’t KU so I paid for it. I’m not reading any more of this series. It was steamy but that didn’t compensate for the lack of everything else.

Deanna and Demon
Deanna didn’t know about the deal her junkie father made with Soldiers of Wrath. When they came for her, she didn’t know what to do. Demon knew this was something his club never did. They didn’t trade to pay a debt but something about this woman drew him in. He couldn’t shake the way she looked or that wildcat appeal. He was going to keep her but to what end. Her father was a junkie and honestly deserved what he had coming. The fact that he thought nothing of his daughter was pathetic. You have to give it to Deanna, she fought. She tore into Demon. At the same time Demon was having a hard time figuring out what is was about her that kept drawing him in. They came together for the wrong reason but found happiness. We have a second half to the story about Joker aka Reese. He is called home in an emergency. Something happened at home and Amy needs him. When we find out the back story, you can understand why he is always protective of her.

Marvelous
And first I want just to rant so much. I hate when parents do those kind of things to theirs daughter/son. And damn, I'm pissed at Deannas a**hat of a father. She never should have promised her mother to take care of her father. More important, Deannas mother shouldn't have asked her of this. Deanna wouldn't be in this f***** up situation. Being a payment for her fathers debt. A playting for The Soldiers of Wrath MC.But damn, I'm proud of Deanna. Though shes scared, Deanna fights to the last breath for her freedom. Loved the part with glass of bourbon. I was so hoping she wouldn't drink it and do something else with it. And score! And then the trashing she did with the room...Atta, girl!Have to share this fierce side of Deanna:☆ Deanna wiped her tears away angrily, stared at the closed door, and promised herself she’d get out of here, and then get even. She’d make her father pay for being the s******** f****** dad in the world, and make these bastards realize that she wasn’t this weak and timid wallflower. She’d give as good as she got, and they’d regret ever taking her in the first place.☆Oh, give them hell, Deanna! SofW, or more especially Demon, have no clue what they brougth to their club. *wicked laugh*And Demon is the Prez of SofW. He's a hard-a**ed bastard biker, who didn't let anyone throw s*** his or his club way. Demon has agreed with the deal, because from the first he saw Deannas picture, he wanted her. So, he decided he would have her.But the question is...If Deanna will end up to be a 'free p****' for the club? Or Demon will find out, that for the first time in his life, he don't wanna to share? And maybe this bad situation could be the best thing could ever happen to Deanna? This was just another marvelous collaboration between Jenika & Sam. I love these authors books. I'm so waiting for more from these series. And you need to insert it on your TBR list immediately.

Owned by the Bastard is the first book in The Soldiers of Wrath MC series by author, Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent.
Overall Rating: 4 Rockin’ StarsOwned by the Bastard is the first book in The Soldiers of Wrath MC series by author, Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent. It is also the first book I've read by this talented author. This book had it all; gritty intense drama, super-hot sexy bikers, and a feisty tempered heroine! Demon and Deanna at first seem to be an unlikely pair to end up together. This is the journey they take on their way to finding true love and a HEA.Demon is the President of the Soldiers of Wrath MC and he didn't get there by being a pansy. He's hard, cold and lethal. He leads with an iron fist and expects loyalty to the club above all else. Deanna made a dying promise to her mom to take care of her drug addicted father. She didn't realize the horrors she would have to endure when she made that promise.Deanna's dad owes the club money and he offers her to them as payment. The moment Demon saw her picture he wanted her. Deanna is side swiped when she visits her dad and the brothers show up to collect payment - her! She is furious and doesn't make it easy for them.I really enjoyed this first book and I look forward to reading more by these amazing authors. They have the ability to create a world that you get lost in. Their writing is fast paced and you are not left lingering or wondering. The secondary characters are well developed and I want to know what is going on with Joker and Amy. This is a great addition to my library and I highly recommend you do the same.

Badly written and basic churned out rubbish
Churned out rubbish. The same basic rubbish on repeat so much it made me angry. "He liked it easy, he got it easy, he had lots of easy women... Deanna wasn't easy, she wasn't going to be easy, she was anything but easy..." and "She wasn't going to let bikers have her, she wasn't going to give herself to bikers, she wasn't going to be with a disgusting, cheating bikers ..." and on and on. For fox sake, put in a little effort if you expect people to spend their time, let alone their money, to read what you publish authors!Character actions are ridiculous, like her getting angry at her father for raising his voice to her but not because he sold her to bikers to be used???!!! The authors made their own characters idiots, she goes back to her drug addict father to tell him off, a place where the bikers know to find her and when hello, he's a drug addict, he's not gona care of you tell him off! Stupid. So stupid. Ridiculous insta lust and insta love despite the pages and pages of them going on about how they shouldn't want the other. These are not real writers, it's so badly written, with poor grammar, and wrong punctuation, which doesn't normally bother me, but what does actually irritate the heck out of ne is they haven't even bothered to do a simple spell check, typo check or read it to easily see the very limited vocabulary they used is annoying, with the same words used twice in the same sentence. The rushed, basic story and the repetitiveness show that these so called authors have clearly pushed this out quickly without any care or work. It's embarrassing how bad this is. Have read this story done much better elsewhere.

Could have been a great book
I definitely do not recommend this book and advise not to waste your money on it. 'Owned by the Bastard' is a quick paced easy read that i consider to be too quick; this allows gaps to be seen within the story. The two main characters; Demon and Deanna are shown to go from loathing each other to not being able to get enough in about 10 pages. This is really frustrating for the reader as it would have been nice to have seen a bigger build up between the two characters. Moreover, it seemed that the 'love' shown between the two characters is the only thing that can be seen in either of them; neither Deanna nor Demon had much personality with the lead male mainly going on about how dark he is while the heroin has as much depth as a puddle. They seem completely unsuited for each other and i personally would have much rather read a book about the minor characters of Joker and Amy as there seemed to be a larger and deeper connection between those two.Another problem i had with the book was the storyline and the way the characters reacted to the problems they faced; mainly Deanna's reaction to being kidnapped and her complete acceptance of the club towards the end of the book. The woman doesn't seem to understand or comprehend the word 'kidnapped' and even though nothing happened to her it's frustrating how naive she is. She lets Demon off the hook far too quickly, especially after has has threatened her and forced his hands on her. Her acceptance of the club is also frustrating as the only thing the reader knows about it is that it likes easy women. Demon calls the Soldiers of Wrath his 'brothers' yet there is no feeling of family there and to be honest they just feel like his muscle, barely more than heavy weights that pop up in the book once in a while to complain about women. This could have been a really great book and the writing isn't even that bad but something just doesn't seem to work here as i didn't connect with the characters. I think this can all be put down to the lack of detail in the book: in the characters, the story and the writing.

Loved it
I was surprised at the negative reviews of this book. I loved it, I liked the characters and the writing style. 'Owned by the bastard' is a typical fictional MC book - violent bikers, alpha male falls in love, lots of hot sex scenes - what's not to like!!! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Book for those who like Dom and sub plot lines
Not really my style of story - this book is not for those who can cope with risky vanilla sex with a hint of something a bit naughtier - this book is about a dominant biker, a submissive young girl and anal sex with violence and murder thrown in the mix. The writing was not bad and it contained very few errors.

Lightweight biker book, that's not a bad read.
This is a hard review for me to write, I enjoy most MC books, but this one had something missing. I didn't connect with the h/H, which is what I need to really fall in love with a story. The connections in this book were not relatable. therefore, I'm sorry to say that this only got 3 stars from me
