Will actually cut with a laser
Few of these type will cut without melting. This one cut fine on a lower power and was fully cut through at 5 passes. It's still plastic, but it finally works!Makes inlay dots a lot easier, and they look pretty good when completed.

JunkTotal
This stuff is absolutely worthless. So then you can read through it. Literally. Nothing but plastic junk. There is nothing you can use this for as far as inlay or anything else. You can't even practice cutting out inlay because it'll mess up your Jeweler saw

This looks good and is rugged.
To often MOP is fragile and unstable. I had over 50 knives that were cracked or chipped. This is amazing in that it is not expensive, easy to work with and it will stand the test of time. They make an adhesive that is thinner. Then the thicker one I use with supper glue. If I make a mistake I can take it apart so that is an added bonus.

Not one particle of mother of pearl! PLASTIC!
The description is misleading - actually lies. This is NOT mother of pearl or shell of any kind.Total plastic that smells toxic.I should have read reviews but also, seller should be truthful in the product description.

Thick and sturdy
Thicker than I thought it would be. I couldn't cut it correctly. Have it to neighbor, he did all kind of things with it.

Not the real stuff
I should have expected it was not real mother of pearl with a funky name like SUPVOX. It's basically a thin, mottled plastic that might pass as MOP in small pieces, but in larger chunks it's obviously not. I should probably give it an even lower rating as they had the audacity to call it, "mother of pearl shell."
