Too small/Bad angle
Very sturdy. All of my Ridgid tools (drill, 1/2 in. stubby and 1/4 in. impact) fit with a 2Ah battery. A 4Ah or above is just too much weight outside of the holster. It needs to be angled, instead it is completely horizontal. You definitely need to use the strap if you are walking or climbing. The pocket is useful for hanging a measuring tape or something small with a clip, nothing else. The magnet is not strong enough to hold anything that is not very small, very flat and very smooth. My Ridgid 1/2 in. high torque impact wrench does not fit.

Holds 18v drill. Weak magnet.
From the reviews I read, I feared that this might be a little too small, but my Milwaukee 18v fits in with no problems at all. I like the buckle closure over Velcro, as the holsters I have used in the past that used Velco eventually wore out. The holster fits well on my 2" tool belt using the belt loop. I haven't tried the clip on the back. The main reason I bought this holster was that it was swappable to left-handed. I have a hard time finding left-handed stuff, but it looks like this holster will serve that purpose well. There are a few "extras" on the holster, though, that, while I did not order because of these features, seem a little lacking.First, the "gimmick" for this tool... the magnetic base to hold screws and bits. This magnet is very weak. Almost like a refrigerator magnet. I wouldn't trust anything to stay stuck to the magnet for more than a few seconds, and only if I'm not moving around. If I find the placement of the magnet handy, I may cut open the magnet pouch and replace it with a small neodymium magnet. The second seemingly useless feature are the elastic bit "pockets"sewn into the sides. These are only about 1/2 deep, with the bottom sewn closed. As with the magnet, I wouldn't trust them to hold anything for more than a few seconds as I swap out a bit, though my teeth do a pretty good job of that, already.Bottom line... It seems to be a decent left- (or right-)handed drill holster with a reliable closure strap, but don't buy it for the magnet or bit pockets.

PERFECT fit for smaller
Bought one, then bought another to wear on other side or for other user. PERFECT fit for smaller, like 12v, drills/drivers and itholds great. You can even use it cross-draw if you like keeping the handle forward. Not much room in the pockets when drill is in place, but youcan securely stick a few screws or other small objects to the outside, to the magnet for easy access. But I bought it for the versatility of carry.Best holster I've seen for these drivers. And I like the clip for fast belt mount or slot for belt thru. One more plus, with the open bottom you can carry a hammer or prybar/wonderbar and not lose it like out of a metal hammer loop! Finally I put my larger driver in the holster, a 19.2v craftsman. I had to push it in due to resistance from the rectangular magnet, then clipped the strap 'cause it seemed a little top heavy. It works also, but not as slick as the smaller driver. So I might cut the threads and take the magnet out of one of them, like I said that wasn't the feature I was after. All told it's really a nice holster, put together really well.

Useful tool
I have never used one of these before, so my only issue is that I keep setting my drill down somewhere that I can't find it, instead of putting it in the holster. It use a 18V Ryobi drill and a Ridgid 18V impact driver, both fit fine. I like that it has a belt clip as well as a loop, I use both, depending on how much work I have to do that day.And the magnet on the front must have been thought up by someone with a genius brain. I can't believe how useful that has turned out to be for me. When you have like 4 screws to drive, put one in your hand and the other three on the magnet. Wish I would have thought of that years ago and patented it....Overall a pretty good product, not sure how well it will hold up, but so far so good
