I've had this on 24 hours a day for the last 5 days and it's really great! I find my two neonatal foster kittens gravitate towards it after feedings. You can put it in a stuffed animal or under a soft blanket because it makes the vibrations of a heart as well as the sound... it's great!

It works the way it says it does,but you can't control the heartbeats,like to make it slower,more calmer. I paid over $15 for this,and should have only paid $10. It's not good for my cat,it's too loud for her,even under 2 blankets. So I gave it to my teenage daughter to put in her pillow to play at night to maybe help her sleep.

Update: Customer service made it right and sent a brand new unit, would buy again, puppy loved it!We just brought our new Bernese Mountain Dog puppy home and this helped her adjust to being away from her mom and litter mates. She slept in her crate without whining at night because of this product. A great concept but it only worked for a week, so now this week I have nothing I can use. I changed the batteries, used several different brands, and it still won’t work. I put it in my own dog stuffed animal…I sewed a Velcro pocket into the belly. She never chewed on it and it was never dropped or otherwise misused. I have no clue as to why the unit no longer works…I’d buy another if I could be sure it would work for several months. It’s a great product for puppy training and comfort.

I didn’t want to buy a $40 puppy toy with heartbeat, so I just bought the beating heart replacement, ripped open a plushie, and sewed the heart inside. It worked really well!The heartbeat is pretty loud, but allows you to feel the pulsing through the plushie. My pup loves it.If anyone decides to do this in the future, I highly recommend seeing a Velcro pocket into the plush for the heart, so you can easily remove it and turn off the beating when not in use (save battery life).

After finding kittens and unexpectedly becoming a foster, I dug through the internet on how to carry out my newfound job as cat-mom. Having absolutely zero experience with felines, I took things day by day. After losing 1/3 kittens, I did what I could and knew to keep the other two going. Sadly, we lost a second kitten. I was heart broken. The last kitten thrived and is doing phenomenal. He has always took comfort to this device and doesn’t usually sleep away too far. This, among other measures, definitely kept this little one going and in great comfort - especially after losing all of his litter mates. I would definitely recommend the solo device (with stuffy animal is a bit much when you can just find one around the house). Stock batteries didn’t work at first, until I gave it a good knock. Stayed alive 24/7 for 3 weeks. Heart beat is loud and vibration is subtle, but does radiate a pretty wide diameter if stuffed under a blanket mound.

Cute little heart. Would have worked the way it was if it was so loud. I stuffed it into 2 old cabin socks thinking my little dog would cuddle up with it. Nope, she barks and growls at it.

This one works better and has lasted longer than the original heartbeat that came with my pups snuggle puppy. The only annoyance is that it has to be turned off and if I forget it bears all day and runs out the battery. I plan to purchase again just to have a backup.

Works as described. I use it for my old blind deaf dog so he doesn't feel alone when I'm not home
