Aurora AU1060MA Professional Grade 10-Sheet High Security Micro-Cut Paper and Credit Card Shredder/ 60 Minutes/Security Level P-5, White, AU1060MA 10-Sheet High Security Microcut

I purchased this in Oct 2024 and it is now March 2025. During this time, I have found this to be an excellent shredder for papers I no longer need to keep but that I don't want to simply throw away. I put only a few sheets of paper in shredder at a time to avoid paper jams. That takes some patience but the product works very well. When the shredder is full, it is easy to open and I put the shreded papers into a eco friendly garbage bag which gets picked up each week by our neighborod recycle truck. Good capacity. (Bought box of lubricant sheets to try from Amazon ).

This shredder is great. It is a good size-smaller than my previous cross cut shredder so is able to fit under a desk. I like that it shreds quickly and the noise level is low. The bin is good size but will fill quickly if you are doing a large job or marathon shredding. The big window on the front is nice for monitoring the level of collection before needing to empty the bin. Overheating with long sessions has been rare. When it has occurred, a brief rest of 2-3 minutes and it was ready to go-so down time is minimal. Very happy with this purchase!

After checking stores and reading reviews I decided on the Aurora AU1060MA in white. My previous shredder was cross-cut, but you could still read the pieces of shredded paper so I chose the micro-cut. This machine is slender, has a 6 gallon container which easily pulls out and I like that it has a long window so you can see how full it is. With the micro-cut pieces being so teensy (like grains of rice) it’s impossible to tell what was shredded and it takes longer for the container to fill-up. It rolls easily, has a modern look and is light weight. I lightly inserted nine sheets of paper that were stapled together; they went in easily, shredded quickly and quietly. I read one review that mentioned using a plastic bag inside the bin for easy disposal, but when I called Aurora Customer Service, whose number is listed on the shredder, I was told not to put a bag inside the container since it could interfere with the function of the LED indicator lights and cause damage. The container is easy enough to remove and empty into a waste bag. It’s a breeze getting rid of mail since we get lots of unsolicited mail, daily. My only concern, which one reviewer mentioned, is the not so good quality of the “rev-auto-off-fwd” switch; it’s kind of cheap but hopefully there won’t be an issue with it. Otherwise this shredder is perfect for my needs and I'm glad I picked this one.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this Aurora AU830MA for some time and it doesn’t disappoint at all. It has pretty much all the features of every other shredder out there, but at outstanding performance. I keep my machine on auto shut off 24/7 for quick random shreds and only change it continuously run when I have many documents. I’ve never managed to shed long enough to reach a cooldown period and I have never had any issues with jamming. One downside is that the shredding speed may be a little slower than lesser secure models, but you are getting this one for privacy. Obviously constantly maxing out to 8 pages would also slow the machine down, but it always chugs through without hiccups. I don’t move my machine around at all, but the wheels definitely will help with it’s weight and maneuverability. It’s very easy to keep track of how full the bin gets over time by the little window and the red indicator light on top when it’s full. There are other red indicators for the bin being open, shedder is jammed or overheating. Besides red lights there is a green power light indicator. I have no doubt that it’s durable and having owned a previous model Aurora shredder for over 12 years I feel like this new model is a great investment and I’m looking for it to work reliably for a long time.

Received Aurora shredder, but was obviously used. That’s the second time I’ve received used equipment. I don’t mind as long as Amazon tells me it’s used.So far it’s working fine. Fairly quiet, no jams after two bins worth of paper. Easily accepts ten sheets at a time. Ran it continuously for 40 min and no overheating. I think this is a good home office product.

I have owned this shredder for four years and it has worked flawlessly. I have had no issues with it shredding all my documents and credit cards. This one shreds paper into very small pieces- not quite as small as a government shredder-but more than good enough to keep anyone from ever putting them together. I highly recommend.
