Liquid Fence 261 Liquid Fence Granular Snake Repellent, 2 Pounds

So far, this past summer went by without a snake. Watch there be a herd on my doorstep in the morning) So, whatever is in it, seems to work. I had used a powder product last time, which seemed to go a bit further than the granular type, and my dogs were a bit interested in the granuals, but left them alone. It seems to work. Thank you, because I freak at the sight of a rattlesnake!

First of all, we like this product and it seems to work in keeping copperheads out of our backyard...and our very inquisitive dog. He's been bitten twice and it's not an easy thing to go through...and expensive. We ordered this 5 lb container and put it up in the garage until our other supply ran out. A little over 30 days and opened it to find that the protective paper seal was broken in shipping and the contents were mud. Customer service? Ha! You're only given 30 days to send it back and after that you pay for shipping and hope they will give you some sort of credit. Certainly not what I've come to expect from Amazon, nor one of its vendors. By the way, I went back to the store (major DIY) and found one out of four containers with broken seals. These people have a problem. Only buy from DIY stores where you can inspect it yourself.

I guess it worked, I didn't see any snakes. But I did find some snake skin by the pool, which wasn't there before I put this product. However, if you have heavy rains this product just dissolves into the earth and is useless. So maybe it was due to the heavy rain we got about a week after I put this product.

I live in an area where snakes are common and a mild winter means even more snakes. Last year we had 4 snakes inside our courtyard/pool area. I used the product in front of all the gates to our courtyard/pool area on June 1...no snakes so far!! Also, we noticed that we have not had many frogs in the pool area either. Last year we were fishing frog out of our pool many...many mornings. I will definitely reorder!!

We had a couple of snakes in our yard and decided to give this a try. We spread the granulars around the perimeter where our fence is and within one week we find a cooper head snake in our yard.

I have a court yard with a pool that has three entrance gates. I live an a coastal area with many snakes. The first summer I lived here we have 4 snakes inside the courtyard. Last summer, I used this product (once per month) in front of my gates and had ZERO snakes in the courtyard. I know it is not fool-proof, but I am definitely sold on it!

I ordered 2 of these containers of snake repellent. One of them had previously been opened, which allowed me to see that that this product has the consistency of mud. I returned them both and ordered granules instead.

Not as good as the liquid form.
