Evidence-based Happiness Journal
This is the second of Prof. Dr. Beeker's books that I have purchased & read. The last book I read was "Master Your Emotions." His books are credible in that they are backed up by research and his decades of experience. This journal is no exception. It is like the "Daily Bread" of happiness & de-stressing. It is an effortless daily journal to work go through. It is best to work through the journal every evening, consistently for 90 days. It only takes a few minutes to do the daily exercises in the journal. Each day kicks off with a high-impact quote. I loved the quotes & will print some of them out to reference in my other work. Then you work through 3 well-researched questions every evening that help you reflect on each day; look at the past, the present and imagine the future that you want for yourself.Prof Beeker has also thrown in a resource library where you can find other templates that are not in the book plus an address where you can contact him directly should you need more support. It is a tried and tested method that will lift your happiness index should you stick with it through with it for the 90-days.

A Wonderful book for pursuing what feels at times like the elusive emotion
The is not your basic gratitude journal nor a dry or sappy notions to develop Happiness! Gratitude is taught in this wonderfully written book as one piece of the happiness puzzle, albeit, a decent sized part, but Dr. Beeker adds the essential nuance that it must be mindful and genuine thoughts of gratitude! And there are many other prompts to work on developing our happiness, each appropriately spaced through the week. None of the evenings reflections are long or dreary, but are instead very thought provoking and can take but a few minutes to complete . I will warn you that you may find yourself thinking about them well into the next day which I think is the idea :-)I do like that we are not told to simply suppress our doubts, but rather we should acknowledge and address them, appropriately determining which are valid and which are notAnd I thoroughly enjoy the quotes of wisdom through the ages. The pursuit of happiness is obviously not a new goal, but one well worth ‘work’

Simple yet compelling
Dr. Beeker pulled it all together in this beautiful journal where one is truly kept on DAILY journaling task, which is of utmost important when one really wants to change thinking habits. I appreciated how the journal allowed me to reflect on snapshots of seemingly challenging experiences that happened in the recent past, and reframe them into positive learning events. It also let me project a bit into the future - how I would like to see my life evolve. The book really pulls it all together. Well worth the daily focus and attention!

A great mindshift!
This is not your usual journal experience to find your happiness. The author does a thorough job in his scientific research to give you the groundwork behind your journaling experience. I like how simple he makes it so it's doable. It's well worth your time to take the questions he offers to really delve into your inner self and then gives you space to record the answers to become more happy.

Beautiful way to increase quality of happiness
I was given an advanced copy to provide an honest review.Loved it! I have been reading so much about happiness lately, and how important it is to not only our mental health, but also to our physical health. The author provides scientific data around ‘being and creating happiness’ in our lives, but has taken a different tact in journaling. I love it! Each day of questions are truly different from anything I have seen and sets the mind into a state of thinking, smiling, joyfulness and reflection. This will keep me engaged over the next few months. It is not repetitive, but exciting and fresh each day.

Waste of $$$
When I bought this I thought it would be a great book to do but all that's in it is the same questions recycled every third or fourth page. I mean really, that's ALL you could come up with?!?! Save your money and find another book. I'll give one positive comment, the cover felt amazing ;-)

Simple powerful ideas are making a big difference.
This book is presented in such a way that it is easy to do. I found that just by thinking about the concepts before I even started the actual program, I noticed more happiness. My observations of my surroundings and inner world promoted greater gratitude than just living normally. That extra layer of observation brings more appreciation of the happiness available!
