The Best of Dick Dale: 15 Classics from the King of the Surf Guitar

These are great transcriptions of Dick Dale songs no doubt. If you want to learn his playing style buy this book, it's really well written.My only complaint are the songs selected. A few of the songs selected are not difficult to figure out on your own and their are also various other versions of these SAME SONGS published within other books.It is my opinion that his best guitar works were left out. The Victor, Surfing Drums, Taco Wagon, California Sun, and Break time are amongst his most beloved songs. They are ones he often played live through the years. It was sad to see them left out.

This is a great book .When I saw this available I had to have it. If you have these songs listed here on a CD or record you will get a good feel for it. Even though a lot of surf type songs are short, there are a lot of notes on these pages. Some songs are at least four to five pages!! All songs seem to be pretty well laid out. A great book from the original King of the Surf Guitar. Its tabbed and standard notation.

Nice book. If you're a tab player it would help to have the actual songs to listen to. Most of songs are on the Better Shred than Dead CDs. Book is strictly music - no bio or background info.

Great book as many of Dick's greatest hits are in it...Wonderful to play like Dick who is a Guitar Legend andan Inspiration to millions of Piers all over the world wholove his playing!Love Dick Dale..Long Live the King!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a monster Dick Dale fan and a struggling guitar student, I love this book. Being able to play along (mostly - I sure ain't no Dick Dale yet) with songs like Nitro and Surf Beat is just sweet.

Für Fans der Surf-klampfe sowieso das wohl wichtigste Buch überhaupt!In dem Buch befinden sich mehr Stücke als bei den meisten anderen Hal-leonard Büchern!Mit Tab und Noten kombiniert.Gut lesbare Schriftgröße, welche bei anderen Büchern (Dire Straits S.o. Swing) oft zu kleindargestellt ist und das spielen sehr erschwert.Macht Spaß!!!
