Basic, sturdy, and functional
I got this to store my 2 Instant Pots and their accessories. Two of us put it together without too much hassle - all parts and bits were included and everything lined up properly (although I sure wish they would include actual instructions instead of just diagrams). It's somewhat confusing at first, but the further into it you get, the more self-explanatory it becomes.Once put together, the piece looks nice and is quite sturdy. And it works perfectly for its intended purpose. Some quibbles is the unfinished edge of the back piece is partially visible at the top and the veneer was already starting to peel in a few places when we opened the box. We will get some glue for the veneer and a black furniture pen to hide the exposed raw edges.Overall, I'm happy with it because it takes care of exactly what I needed. It would be nice to find furniture with better veneer that doesn't cost the earth, but this seems to be standard for this class of furniture.

Smells like wood
This is a nice piece of furniture that was easy to assemble. My only complaint is that I am using it to store my sheets and extra bedding and now they all smell like lumber. Even the sheets that are not in direct contact with the wood have the odor.

Nice product
Fairly easy to assemble. The doors were the hardest to assemble. Looks beautiful. It is VERY heavy. Love how spacious it is inside.

Similar in assembly design to Ikea products but possibly higher in quality.
Bought two of these for interior storage.Unpacking took 10 minutes. Packaged very efficiently. Unpacking showed product to be in perfect condition.Tools required for assembly are a philips head and flat head screw driver.Assembly took an hour per cabinet. Instructions are good. Parts fit is excellent.Cabinets are attractive and sturdy. They are not light-flimsy.At approx 130.00 each, they are an outstanding value.

Solid but....
This was delivered with busted corners to the box, but it was well packed and no damage to the product occured. The Instructions to assemble are vague in some areas. Page five of the instructions do not tell you what two pieces to use in the lower corner, you have to guess based on what is availabe. The same with page seven except the confussion was in the left lower corner, both pictures show you two pegs in the pictures but they do not tell you what the peges are again you have to guess. Page eight tells you to put the lid on, and then page ten tells you to turn the cabinet over and put the back on. But no consideration is given to the fact that the top front of the cabinet sticks out farther than the botton so again you have to figure out first how to attach the back with out damage to the top front. They don't give you anything but a round felt pad to place in the corners of the bottom, but this is really stupid, because the minute you start to drag this across the floor, these thing will just come off because they are just attached with adhesive. The instructions on page thirteen tell you to install the shelf. Again not to bright because you still have not attached the doors. Step fourteen indicates to mount the hinges to the door, and step fifteen indicates to install the door to the cabinet, good luck, especially if you are assembling this by yourself which is usually how these things are assembled. The shelf would be in the way trying to install the doors the way the instructions tell you to do it. The doors were a real pain to install. I finally installed the hinges to the cabinet and the doors to the hinges, and this worked out much better. Now for the kicker, none of the wood parts are clearly marked. I called the company to ask how to identify the pieces , the answer was to look on the unfinished edges they are stamped in ink, but when I tried to explain that most of the edges had not been stamped the guy on the phone hung up on me. I did finally determine what piece went where, no thanks to poor customer service. This is a sturdy cabinet. The instruction could have been a lot better, and instead of ink stamped on the edges, they should have used white stickers on the front of the part to identify the part. Some say this was easy to assembly, but if they had the same issues I had, it was not an easy assembly. I also think it was way overpriced, but these days that always seems the case. Finally, I would not recommed this to anyone, I would say spend your money on a full 6 foot cabinet, then you might get your moneys worth. But again, what really got my goat was customer service of South Shore Furniture hanging up on me. Whie I mentioned I think it was over priced, it is actually less expensive to purchase on Amazon than to purchase directly.

Good Value-Moderate Effort-Some Flaws
#1(My cabinet arrived with damaged packaging but the item itself was not damaged.) I was anticipating a difficult and time-consuming assembly, but it only took me about 2 and a half hours to complete the cabinet. There are a lot of parts (especially fasteners), and the components are heavy, but the assembled product looks good, and I had no problems with damaged or missing pieces. What I really like is that the instructions are thorough yet simple and they included some extra fasteners. Unlike another company (I__A) that believes that when it comes to instructions, the less said the better, South Shore seems more supportive. I am using the cabinet for computers and a modem, so I left the hard cardboard backing off (for ventilation) and there does not seem to be a problem with the structural integrity. I am so pleased with it that I am going to order a similar cabinet from South Shore for another room for my entertainment system.#2I ordered another cabinet from South Shore that is the same product. This cabinet arrived with almost perfect packaging, but many of the components are scuffed and there are a lot of surface flaws. Other than that, the completed cabinet is as successful as its predecessor. I contacted South Shore via email requesting assistance regarding the finish issues and there has been no response (not unusual with emails). I purchased a repair kit (Rejuvenate) at a local hardware store and the espresso "marker" does help with some flaws and a black crayon should be helpful as well. So, I continue to recommend this product as a good value.

Top is NOT water resistant. The top swells and bubbles when wet.
I expected the top to be some kind of laminate type material. I know this is not an expensive piece of furniture. But I expected it to be useful for crafting. I don't know what the top is...but it's like painted wood...but even paint would be water resistant. I have to be very careful to wipe up any moisture right way. Although the bubbling has flattened out each time it's been wet, I don't want to push my luck. I want a smooth flat surface that looks decent.

Kitchen Cabinets
I purchased this piece, after having read different reviews as it relates to kitchen cabinets. I need to especially thank those who had reviewed their purchases, as I learned so much from their feedback, and therefore, ordered this piece with confidence. As for assembly, my brother who is a carpenter put it together, and had no complaints either about the design or the assembly guidelines. The bottom line is that I am very pleased with my choice, and it shines in my kitchen. Moreover, the top offers a convenient work space. I see it as my mini kitchen island. Thanks!

Great value for money
The internal space and sturdiness are really the most delightful surprises to me. And it's a beautiful piece of furniture for sure! It's a little bit hard to assemble it alone but totally doable - it'll basically take longer than expected. I could align the doors quickly, and the magnetic closure works perfectly. One minor downside is that all parts came covered in dust, so set aside cleaning cloths before starting the assembling.

Decent value for money.
I got exactly what I anticipated in terms of value. It only took one person to assemble. One improvement I would suggest to the sellers is to make the instructions clearer. Indicate which side is the front of any piece and which one isn't. Plus the instruction illustrated parts being installed but no arrows to indicate which parts they were. But other than that I did figure it all out and was able to install it alone. Overall it works well in my kitchen and does what it's supposed to do.

Okay Product
It is a sturdy product almost exactly as described. However, for the assembly, there are pre-made holes for where the screws go. The cabinet doors do not line up at all, which throws the whole quality look off. Also because one door is raised so high the magnetic connection at the bottom that snaps the door shut, doesn't touch 100% so, it's very weak and doesn't stay shut very well.

Very disappointed!
I barely write review for any products I order on Amazon (good or bad), but I just had to for this product. The product was delivered quickly and it was well packaged. Assembly was straight forward and could be done by 1 person. The issue with this cabinet is how wobbly it is. The bottom is NOT at all sturdy, it moves side to side regardless of how tight you screw the screws. I decided to throw out all the pieces in the trash and I am very disappointed that i wasted $146 (taxes included) on a cheap product
