Understanding my Autism: Step into my Boots

Fantastic book.
This was recommended to me when my son was diagnosed with ASD. My son is 8 he loves this book we sat and read it together. He thinks it's written about him. It actually opened my eyes to how he feels and allowed us to communicate more efficiently.

Not informative
Poor resume of a child's perspective of autism.

Excellent!
The structure, the way that every chapter narrows down and the illustrations are amazing! There are clear steps for every possible environment a kid could be in and this is what makes this book excellent! The information given could be handful to those in need, but also to those who and are trying to understand autism kids.

An eye-opener
The book is truly what advertised, an eye-opener in understanding autism from the child's point of view. It is a useful resource for parents and children with autism.

Not what I expected
Bought this to share with children in ks1 with ASC as stated age range from 5. Not appropriate for young children as mainly pages of text. Looks more like a textbook. Some useful explanations of behaviours for parents and carers but in my opinion not child friendly format.

Great content!
Excellent read and clearly written with great content. Good examples given and easy to follow by both adults and children alike. Well done!
