Great Camping Tarp Application!!
While this is designed for a Boat Tarp, we really liked this Dr. Shrink DS-CAPS product for our camping tarp application. You can simply use a small 4" piece of 2x4 with this Dr. Shrink 'boat tarp' product and then drill the 2x4 to fit your tarp pole. This provided a perfect tarp protector to use on the top of our 8' REI poles for the center point of our camping tarp.

Used for boat cover
Worked great for holding boat cover and not poking a whole in it. Put on the end of a few poles inside the boat and rested the cover on it. Perfect for what we needed.

Only one cap. Very expensive
Cap seems fine but way too expensive considering you need top buy two for each support pole. Will do a DIY solution for the boat ends.

boat shrink wrap support
Just used a couple of these while shrink wrapping my boat. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and fit right onto the top of the 2x4s that I used for supports.

The cap has a slot vs a hole. Allows the weight to shift and pole to fall
