Classic
My generations version of a classic. Good laughs. Goofy plot. Cheesy love. Couldve done with the dorky romance but the rest of the movie carries it. Justin Long was perfect for the lead role. Ann Cusack made an over protective mother well. And our little chef buddy was a riot. Just a perfect cast! Highly recommended!

Best 80s movie to come out of the 2000s
You got your light-hearted protagonist, your snooty "im better than you" antagonist, the ragtag group of friends having a good time with the premise throughout the first half of the film, the love interest that begins with the antagonist while slowly falling for the protagonist's charms.then, about 3/4 way through the hammer drops on the protagonist and their friends as a result of some douchey action from the antagonist, this results in a momentary sensation of defeat before a "its just crazy enough to work" idea is thought up. And then everything culminates in a all-or-nothing speech from the protagonist that invokes applause/slow-clap from a large group of people while also convincing the love interest to go steady with him.classic formula for a good film.... 10/10 will watch again with a different title/actors/premise when the next one comes out

A true Hidden Gem!!!
Idk how this movie wasn't along for the ride with the other college type movies. Probably because there is unfortunately no sequel like so many others had. Give this a watch and enjoy as it doesn't disappoint. All the characters are perfectly casted and do a great job making this feel authentic. Keep in mind this movie is short and doesn't take itself too seriously but when it does it speaks truth. Some goofy characters who I thought would be annoying were not . This left me wanting more and by more I mean a trilogy or series. Unfortunately it's been 16 years since this movie came out. I wish they would make a sequel with the same cast set in the future. Fingers crossed!

Lost on some, but hilarious to others (like me)
I loaned this movie to a friend and when he returned it, I got the feeling he wanted to hurt me for making him watch it. Of course, I feel that way about some of the stuff he tells me is great too (when I can truthfully testify it is pure garbage).Accepted is a cute story of a slacker youth (Justin Long) that finds that he couldn't get 'accepted' into any of his choice of colleges. Faced with the possibility of being heavily admonished by his parents for not having something to do with his life, he and his friends proceed to get him accepted into a college that they create out of thin air. What follows is a sweet story of creating a home for those that didn't have one before, all of the other youth out there that don't fit in. A free form education platform that just might work. Also included in the cast is the always acerbic and always funny Lewis Black (who I just can't get enough of) passing on life lessons to the students.Well worth adding to my video collection, and highly recommended for others as well.

I really enjoyed this movie
I really enjoyed this movie. The comedy was good but I also think the movie was thought provoking. The first time I watched this was years ago while I was in college and I too felt like our current education system was a scam. We're forced to take classes we have no interest in and students are exploited with all types of fees and charges. College is a business now plain and simple. Schools could really careless about the students. I rewatched this movie today(I'm now 27 and a college grad) and I still feel like college was an absolute joke. Thankfully I had a great college experience but the education aspect of it was hilarious. Props to this movie for maybe inspiring someone to think outside the box. Being normal is overrated.

Movie is awesome!
This movie teaches a real life lesson, accept who you are and become a better person, learn from your mistakes and have a good mindset when it comes to your life, and don't take life for granted, it may seem hard but this movie really shows the obstacles you can overcome! Don't ever stop believing in yourself because you can do it. Courage is what it takes, you have the key to open your life up to things you never even knew were possible, YOU can do it.

Amazing
This film is amazing, I think when faced in the world of work uni college and growing up it is definitely scary, but worst of all not getting into uni is upsetting for you and your parents but this film shows how these teenagers faced with not getting into any uni they come up with there own and help teenagers like themselves have the uni experience that you wouldn't get in a normal uni. Definitely one to watch with the family.

Unbelievable plot but wouldn't it be fun to see someone try it for real...?
This is just a fun movie. I watched it back in 2006 and finally decided to buy it to watch multiple times when I need a 'release'.Suspend your disbelief mechanism, sit back and enjoy the crazy guys and beautiful girls.
