Boss PetPrestige Dome Stake 21" - Color May Vary

Got several of these to stake out my LaMancha goats and they have done very well. Even my big billy goat hasnt pulled them up. Very easy to drive in with a hammer. Sets low so doesnt impact equipment and the metal attachment thing spins fine and has held up as well... no tangles :)

Held up well and kept my Beagle in place. I used a mallet to pound it into hard soil and it sustained no damage. I suspect it will last quite a long time.

I've read other reviews stating this is not sturdy, bent, and/or pulled out of the ground, so am relating my experience with it. Before installing, I soaked the ground at the installation point with a water hose for about an hour. Then I pushed the stake in as far as it would go by hand. Next, I used a block of wood and sledge to pound the stake the rest of the way (about 6") until the collar contacted the ground (minor marring on the top of the stake from the wood). I let the ground dry out for a day before hooking up chains for my dogs (who weigh about 60 lbs total). I have seen no issues with the stake bending or coming out of the ground and have been using this for 2 weeks now.

This thing definitely works. It goes so deep in the ground that my 66lb Golden Retriever pup can't get away with it. Only reason I gave it 4 vs. 5 stars was because, considering how deep it goes into the ground it take a lot of beating on it with a hammer to get it in all the way, and then when you want to try and pull it out, with the spade sides on it, its tough (which is a good thing for dogs etc.) and consequently we have decided to leave this one put in our back yard and purchase one of those "corkscrew" designed ones for bringing to the beach, friends places, parks etc.Bottom line very good product, definitely would recommend, especially if you intend to keep it primarily in one spot. I can even mow around it easy enough as long as I see it first.

I originally tried the standard screw-type anchors with the triangle shaped handle that sticks up. While they were very easy to use, the line would inevitable get tangled around the post. With this type, the leash line is free to pull back over the top of the anchor, so even if your dog walks around it multiple times, it won't tangle up and get stuck. I can also mow over the top of this unit, which is nice.I did somehow manage to bend the post while installing it last time.

I could not be happier with the Boss Pet Prestige 21" Dome Stake! I have been using this stake for a few months now and it has not budged. My dog is a 50 pound Australian Shepherd Mix, and I use this stake along with a 25 foot cable tie out when I let her out to do her business and also just to let her get some fresh air on sunny afternoons.I use the  Pet Champion Large Tie Out Cable for Dogs Up to 90-Pound  tie out with this product, and the combination works great for my girl. The dome top on this stake allows for the cable to swivel 360 degrees all the way around, and she does not get caught up on things. We do not have a fenced in yard, and I cannot leave my dog unleashed because she likes to sprint (that's the Aussie in her!) when she sees or hears something. This stake and tie out allows her to have more outside time. She can have some outside time alongside my two girls without me having to worry about her running into the street.Sometimes, she does forget she is leashed, and she will try to run at full speed, and she always stopped when she reaches the end of her 25 feet! I know that it is a lot of force when she tries to take off running, and this ground stake has not budged! I am really happy that I purchased this product.

Easy to put in the ground, very good quality and my dog run all over the yard without getting all tangle up. Very happy with it.

80 pound dog approved. I have an 80 pound doberman and he has no problem ripping most things out of the ground. This one was simpler to install than the rest (Just push into the ground, no twisting) and does an even better job. I couldn't be more happy. You can even push it all the way down to where the head of it is sitting on the ground. Makes it even more sturdy. This paired with a strong cable was the perfect fit. I liked it so much I bought another for my other dog who is 50 pounds. I am really impressed with the quality of this dome stake. there is not one part that I would change. I do however question the top part which is slightly unlevel top part (see image) not that it would affect the product in any way. Mine is 20" not 21" but that's no big deal either. I think this is a steal at the price it sells for, it would have cost me more to make one.The product is Made in China for those who shop NA products only.

Great quality for the price! Held my extremely hyper 60lb pup nice and tight. My partner did end up some how bending it while hammering it into the ground, I think it was bend on a rock.

I have purchased 2 now. I love thats it’s yellow for easy visibility.Easy to push into ground.I use it for my golden retriever. She isn’t a super aggressive so not sure if it would hind a more powerful pooch. But it’s portable for camping or moving to new location. I recommend.

love this for my big collie, keeps him safe and does not bend when he tugs on it.
