Great clock. I purchased this clock to replace a similar (but not so stylish) one. It very simple to assemble but there were no instructions; I had to figure it out on my own by looking a product pictures. I was afraid I was going to screw it up or bend the hands. The hands are extremely fragile; they seem to be made from aluminum and easily bendable.The product looks great. Please be careful with assembly.

Although I love the look of the gear face on this clock, the hands were very thin metal and had a scratch. Most importantly, the clock does not keep accurate time at all. We tried several sets of batteries, and it consistently ran slow (up to 30 minutes slow per hour!). We will be sending it back.

I was so excited to receive this clock, as with others it was to be a face for photos. I expected metal, plastic and wood. There is no wood at all. It is plastic covered to look like wood. I also (not sure why I thought this) that the gears on the front would move with the hands of the clock. Just so you know, they don't. They are fake gears glued onto the plastic clock.As others stated, there are no directions to assemble but it cannot be that hard (will try to attempt it now). My box was not sealed when I got it today so I worry parts may be missing.I ordered this verses others that were cheaper expecting a better quality item. At this moment I wish I would have saved a few dollars and gotten something else as this isn't anything to write home about.Why don't I return it? It's not worth the time or hassle. It may not be what I wanted, a wood clock that gears turn but maybe I should have read more reviews.

I really love this innovative clock design. I put it together with some difficulty because there were no directions. It stops from time to time and I need to reset it. When I told the seller about my issues, I was issued a full refund and was not asked to send it back. I appreciate the professional response to my problem and I am now on a mission to get it to work consistently. I am thinking of ordering another to see if mine was a fluke because, as I said, I really love this 'clock'...it just hangs there with no numbers...very cool!

I like the clock, but it's not as big as advertised. It's about 14", not 17". Also, there were no instructions in the box, and when I emailed for help I never heard back. It turned out to be fairly straightforward, but as clock lovers know, the wrong "push" here or "click" there can ruin a clock. Mine runs well, no problem.

At first I could not get this clock to fit together snug enough to work. Logically you can see how the parts fit together so probably why no directions are included. But to make it easier for those of us who prefer directions, even if simple, here is how I put this clock together:DIRECTIONS:1. Peel plastic off both hour and minute hands2. Be certain plate of clock is secured to back square battery case, tighten the bolt by hand. I mention this as the round face of the clock I received was rotating all over the place before I tightened it and made it much easier to work with when adding the hands of the clock.3. Put Hour hand on first – press so it fits snug. Try to press very close to center, otherwise thin aluminum hands will bend slightly, causing hands to rub against each other once you get your clock going and could throw off how well it keeps accurate time.4. Put on Minute hand – press so fits snug. I had to apply a bit more pressure than expected to get both these hands on snug enough so they wouldn’t just rotate around when pulled by gravity.5. Put gold mini bolt with the Seconds hand attached on top – press till snug.6. Put one AA battery in back – the battery did not fit easily in mine so had to fiddle with that a bit too.7. Set time using the dial on back of clock8. Slightly adjust hands of clock if they are scraping against one another anywhere, bending gently as a little pressure quickly makes a bigger bend than you need on these very thin aluminum hands.

Looks great on our spool clock. Read other reviews for directions on assembling since no instructions are included.

Do yourself a favor and move on. Don't purchase this item. It does not come with instructions and does not assemble like a typical clock kit (I have assembled many). I read product reviews after having a hard time assembling the clock and it appeared I had to apply extra pressure to get it together. When I applied more pressure than I normally would assume is necessary, the product broke. Not to mention the arms getting bent out of shape from messing with it so much. I messaged the seller and have heard nothing back
