Merriam-Webster's Rhyming Dictionary, Second Edition, Trade Paperback

So I took a chance despite some reviews. Here's the thing that may be putting people off: It doesn't give you full words and list the rhymes. It gives you ending word SOUNDS and lists rhyming words! So if you are looking for "wash" you have to go to "ash". BTW, there are 3 entries for the different pronunciations for "ash".Or take "harmony" for example. I looked up "ony" and it referred me to "ani", which listed a few possibilities, then also referred me to "anny".And yes, it's "all vowels", including "y". There's a usage guide at the front, as well as pronunciations symbols. So you do have to do a little work to find what you're looking for, but can you imagine how enormous and redundant this would be if it listed everything out like a typical dictionary?!

This book is always out at our Walmart, Amazon never disappoints us.A great tool for song writing and poetry pieces.

Great dictionary in a handy size. Too bad Amazon once again didn't care to pack it to protect it from damage.

I have never used another rhyming resource so I can't say that it is the best I've ever used, but I can say that it was easy to use and it more than met my needs and expectations. I WON'T need to purchase another book of this kind because of finding this one insufficient.So go for it if you are in the market for such help .You will find that it is the only book of its kind that you will need to purchase.

My husband started writing songs again and he is absolutely in love with this book! So many varieties of 2, 3, and 4 syllable rhymes that go to 1 word! Even things that he didnt think of. If your looking to take your rap up a notch then this book is for you!The websters rhyming dictionary pairs perfectly with this.

This is very easy to use, especially the Kindle version. I write poetry and this is one of the best resources I have found when searching for just the correct word. I like the Kindle version because I can type the sound in the search window and it immediately finds rhyming words.

Bought this as a help for writing toasts, blessings, cute congrats (birthday, weddings, anniversaries, etc) and spells. Easy to read and find just the right word!

Product is AWESOME...over 70,000 rhying words...great for songwriting!!!!

数年前にこれのポケットバージョンを求め、見つからなくなったので印刷版とkindle両方とも求めました。英語の詩を書く時には絶対に必要です。日本語にも似たような辞書があれば嬉しいですがね。The kindle version is very useful since the content part has a link leading to the word. The printed version comes in handy too, but it's much faster to search with kindle than paper. I had the paper version for several years already, and I must say that it's a must have for people who create poems for hobby or school.

There is no way to easily get to words that rhyme. The normal search that is suggested does not work. The reviews on Amazon.com on this book sure as hell do not refer to the rhyming dictionary, but to some standard dictionary. Also this book will not show up in your normal Kindle library; you will have to search for it each time to access it.
