New Comprehensive A-Z Crossword Dictionary

Great for crossword puzzle clues

Purchased for elderly family member (80+ yrs old) who does crosswords to help keep an active mind from failing due to age. She has worn out one book flipping thru the pages as crosswords are done multiple times daily. This is the second book and she highly recommends them!

Had one of these from the same manufacturer and looked just like this one only it had a lot less pages. It was beginning to fall apart so when I found this one, I immediately got it. A little bulky but I will manage.

I gave this book as a gift to my mother. She is an avid cross word puzzle solver. She uses the same book, but it has seen better days. So I sent her this new one. It had about 30 pages cut short. The bottom 2 lines of print on these pages were cut off. It was to late to send it back. Now I probably will get one from town.

My husband does a crossword puzzle every day & uses this book. He wore out his last copy!

My neighbor is a cross word puzzle nut and her precious dictionary for crossword puzzles was falling apart. She loved that book so I replaced it for her.

Did not like I was charged for shipping for this product. Cost as much as the book. Order of two items was over $100. Amazon you can do better.

This is the second one of these I've owned. The first I bought years ago and it finally wore out. Of the crossword puzzle dictionaries I've had and used, this is very comprehensive (ergo its title). It has a good number of common foreign words and this version has more authors and artisits. It also has some amazingly obscure entries.If I had one complaint, it would be that it has a limited number of movie names and the lists of some things (Kentucky Derby winners for example just goes back a few years.But no crossword puzzle dictionary is perfect and of the three I own, I use this one by far the most and would recommend it to any one who does puzzles.

The book is classic, and the delivery process was excellent!

The dictionary is good, my only negative is I thought the print was a little larger. My fault for not investigating properly.

I had purchased the same book many many years which had come apart due to poor binding and continued use. Therefore went in for replacement
