Abraham Lincoln (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 2) Paperback – Illustrated, December 26, 2012

My 7 year old son loved this book about President Lincoln. The entire series of National Geographic Readers is very well done, which interesting facts and photographs. The content is presented in a colorful and kid-friendly format.

Great book! My son had to do a biography book report and wasn't thrilled about it. But I bought him this book and he actually got into it! He enjoyed reading it and got a lot of neat facts for his report. And he even enjoyed doing his book report. He is on a 2nd to beginning 3rd grade reading level.

I’m reading it to my 6 year old as part of history home schooling. It’s the right level for him to understand the history and later will be useful as a reader.

Love these books. Perfect for elementary school. You can use all or parts to cover lessons on US and VA History!

My 1st grader had a book report to do on an assigned American Hero, and this was his assignment. I think this book is well put together and has some interesting facts, however there is a large portion dedicated to the civil war and slavery. I felt like this material was above what a first grader can really comprehend even though it was put into the most simple terms possible. I also don't think first graders have any business doing book reports though. If I were to do it again I think I'd just print out some information from online and let him use that as the material for his report. You certainly can find a wealth of information online and this skims the surface.

We were learning about coins and one of the kids in the class who is autistic was fascinated with Abraham Lincoln. We’ve made a robot with recycled items and Abraham Lincolns face is on it lol. The book is very educational. We read it and he wanted to know more.

Good educational book for young readers. However, I don't understand what relevance or importance of bringing up what bible Obama reads when he believes in murdering small babies, it has nothing to do with the accomplishments or beliefs of Abraham Lincoln. Other than that, it was a good read.

You can’t go wrong with anything Abraham Lincoln. He was the best!!!!!!!
