Odd smell
I use this product all the time. My locals stores were out so ordered from Amazon. It just smells weird...kind of stale. Not sure I will use it.

Lard is rendered fat from beef, or pork. It makes wonderful bread, pies, and even cookies in some instances, when mixed with margarine, or butter, OR just plainIt was Great-Grandma's shortening in the good old days. I made pie crusts with it..and a German Christmas cookie that specifically calls for LARD,only.It was so good!

This stuff gives you very tasty fluffy cookies. Melts in mouth kind of cookies.

My Snow Cap Lard is odorless, and pure as it comes. I use it instead of chrisco when making muffins. I grease my pans with it, and use it as a fat when pan frying. So glad I found this product!
