The material is sturdy and protective, but a bit so it absorbs rough handling and doesn't itself break or transfer energy to my iPad. The pencil fits well and stays put. I bought a second one for my husband.

Not sure about the durability on this, as I have not dropped it.. But I love it! It has exceeded my expectations for sure!I purchased the matte gray IPhone 11 Pro Max and the newest IPAD to match it a few weeks ago, so I wanted to find protection that was thin and clear so that I could keep them matching - I love that new matte charcoal gray color they come in!!This has gone a PERFECT job of keeping it sleek and thin and light weight plus CLEAR so you can see the whole Ipad. Plus the little pen holder on the side really comes in handy. I love this thing! It was exactly what I was looking for and the price was great!!

I ordered this for my IPad 7th gen after a few months of purchasing it. I have the apple keyboard but I was worried since it had no protection on the back. The case is perfect, it is durable, easy to put on and take off, and it protects the back side of the IPad. Even more, it works perfectly with the apple keyboard. You definitely are getting your money's worth and I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Hugh quality case for ipad that reallu helped with storimg the pen it was annoying to carry the box the pen came in so having a case that does it for you is really usefull

I got this primarily to carry my Apple Pencil and to provide a place to put the Cap of the pencil while the pencil is being charged. It performs these tasks quite well. I especially like that it works both with my regular cover and with the smart keyboard. Of course it does provide a degree of protection if the iPad happens to drop to the floor. Additionally it offers more friction than the iPad's own back, making it less likely to slip out of my hand or slide off of a slanted surface. (In spite of one review to the contrary, this cover in no way blocks there rear camera.)

This is a really great minimalist case, the ring for the pencil holder is an odd choice, but you get used to it.
