Howard Miller Zander Wall Clock 625-616 – Rectangular Oversized High-Gloss White Home Decor with Quartz Movement

First thing that anyone should pay attention to before buying this clock is that it is BIG. With a size of 30" tall, 24" wide, it is almost like a medium size poster/portrait hanging on the wall. Now lets talk about the good stuff first:1. It is shipped in a very sturdy box, with styrofoam packaging inside.2. The finish is gloss white, more like lacquer than a regular paint.3. The hands are gloss black. There is no seconds hand.4. The hour markers are chrome, that add tasteful contrast to the white face, with minimal bling.5. The Quartz movement has an audible ticking sound, not something that most people would notice, but in a silent room (like a bedroom at night where one might sleep), it can be heard from a distance.The bad stuff:1. Price...I think this clock is a bit overpriced for something that isn't made in USA.2. The movement is from Young Town China, not sure how well it will hold up.3. The clock is heavy. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but make sure you use heavy duty hanging hardware. I used 50lbs rated picture hanger.There is also a very small Howard Miller logo at the right bottom corner, that isn't visible from a distance, but can certainly be noticed from up close.I had to return this clock back to Amazon, as I am very sensitive to noise while sleeping and the clock's ticking sound really bothered me.

Insufficient packaging. Product arrived broken. Clock looks great—but now I have to fix it.Update: Clock face yellows over time. It started a bright white and now its off/white and yellowed.
