I did my research on this prior to buying, and some of the sources I trust say that "you can tell it is digital", which means I think that the analogue original of each of the pedals this emulates probably beats it on a side-by-side comparison. For me, this does not matter, firstly because I will never play them side-by-side, and secondly because for the way I play with drive/distortion/fuzz etc. I would challenge anyone to notice the difference.OK, so that is the only negative I can think of. As for the positives, it has more options each with more tweakability that I know what to do with, and I can save 4 to memories that I can recall via footswitch, and a further 123 that would need some hand to dial twiddling to access, plus a 5th on the footswitch that is whatever is manually set on the dials. But you know that.What it give me is plenty of options to play, experiment, be inspired by, and when I find a good sound, I can save it away for future use. This helps me in my songwriting and playing - there is nothing like an inspiring sound to get the creative juices flowing.Overally, I could not be happier. The box marked "modulation" is firmly ticked off, and I have a lot of useful options for little real estate on my pedalboard.

Great sound, easy to use

I bought this to do the modulation for my board and hopefully free up some space instead of multiple pedals. I resisted because I’m not much of a tweaker and what I feared was true. There are just too many changeable elements on this pedal that I just got bamboozled. All the online demo guys make it seem so simple and effortless but this stuff is second nature to them. The sounds are great as you would expect from boss but you can find yourself lost in endlessly turning dials from 0-999. Great pedal and a really compact size but if you’re anything like me and put off by parameter dials and presets and press and hold combos then I’d go for something a lot simpler.

Sounds a bit too digital and not for me, returned it. not up tu the usual boss standard.

Pedal de efectos muy completo, típico sonido boss. Trae muchos efectos de modulación con infinidad de posibilidades de configuración.Chorus, Flanger, Vibrato, Auto-wha, etc. merece la pena.Yo tengo este (me-200) y el DD-200, para mí ya son impresentables.Muy recomendable si te gusta el sonido característico de lo pedales BOSS, comento este detalle porque no a todos los guitarristas les gusta.

It may be losing out to the Strymon in popularity, but I think it's the best pedal for the money. Even if you don't consider the price, the performance is good enough.But I wish they'd ditch the micro 5-pin, and invest a little more in liquid crystal and they'd sell a lot more.
