Best thing since sliced bread!
I bake a lot of pies, and this is the best way to get consistently sized, even thickness pie crusts with minimal mess! Using this crust maker I use less flour in rolling out the crust, and the rolling pin doesn't have to be washed because it never touches the pie crust, It makes transferring the rolled out crust to the pan a snap, as you just open the zipper, fold back one side of the maker and flip the side with the crust on it into the pan. It's easy to peel off if it does stick, still with no torn crusts in transferring! Because most of the flour (a small amount of flour does puff out of the opening where the zipper slide is located, but not much!) stays inside of the pouch and there isn't all the mess of scraping up the leftover flour off the counter top when you're finished. It's easy to clean in the sink dishwater. I would suggest using a small amount of vinegar in your dishwater or rinse water to help any residual fat be removed completely from the surface of the plastic. One mistake I made, and it was purely my fault, was with the dough still on one side of the crust bag I used a wavy-bladed rotary pie cutter for cutting dough in strips for a lattice topped pie on it, and it did cut tiny perforations on that side. Be sure to remove the crust from the pouch when cutting or trimming dough to avoid cutting the pouch. It still works perfectly, but I ordered a backup pouch just in case I had ruined this one. If you need a crust for a 9-inch of 10-inch pie I would order the more specific size so as to not to have too much excess crust to turn under at the edge. If you bake a lot of pies you will love these pouches!

Works well. Cleanup is a bit of a chore though.
First off, Let me say that I use this for rolling pizza dough, not pie crusts. I wish it were a little bigger, but it does the job for a medium thickness pizza. It is a definite plus when you have limited space since you can use this on a tablecloth, or any surface where you wouldn't want to otherwise lay down the dough directly. The only real downside is the cleanup. I do like that when unzipped all the way it opens up almost all the way. It does make it easier to get into all the crevices when cleaning, which does take sometime if you want to make sure nothing is caught under the seams. Perhaps it would be better if it came in two parts and you had to zip it together entirely. That way you'd have two halves to clean separately, and dry separately. If you have lots of extra room to lay out the dough and don't like clean up, then maybe you won't like this. But it is worth a shot for the price for most people who make a lot of round dough items like pies or pizza.

No More Mess!
No more messy countertop when you roll your pie crust in this bag. Cleanup is a breeze and the pie crust comes out perfectly every time. I have used it to roll out cookie dough too, but you do have to remove the rolled dough from the bag before you use a cookie cutter.

Works Well, Mostly
I have been rolling my crusts on a silicone mat for the past few years, and while that works great -- and sometimes better than this -- this pie crust bag allows me to chill the crust in the refrigerator inside the bag before inserted it in the pie pan. This allows me to make several crusts in several bags, stack them, and then return to them when I'm ready. They take up a lot less room than crusts already inside their pans. And my rolling pin never gets dirty.Even if you are chilling beforehand, the pie bag is a great idea if you want to ensure a symmetrical crust rolled to the correct size. I use the 14" bag for a 9" pan because I like to be able to trim the edges. The only disadvantage of these is my inability to tell whether the dough is sticking to the plastic. I try to remember to unzip after a few rolls to see how the pastry dough is faring. There are many ways to roll pie crust -- between sheets of waxed paper, on a silicone mat (marked or unmarked), on a cool granite or marble counter -- but this method is probably the most user-friendly for the novice.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Works great!
Works great! Easy to transfer to your pie plate. Takes to guesswork out of measuring. Takes a moment to wipe clean but a dry towel worked best for me.

Brilliant idea for pastry rolling
I bought this not feeling confident that it was what I was looking for, but i wasn’t disappointed. No more pastry sticking to the roller and definitely no more messy kitchen worktops. Wish I had bought one years ago.
