It's a little awkward to hold, takes practice to use, and it's hard to gauge how much lighter fluid to put in. That said, all of that is quibbling, minor stuff. I have big hands and I hold it in my left hand with my fingers inside the loop. I've only dropped it once when lighting it and I've lit it multiple times to get the hang of it.It does take some practice to light it reliably because you have to get the angle and pressure right. Naturally, you want to use a lot of force to get the spark that ignites the wick but pushing hard also makes it hard to keep a firm grip.The wick retains enough fluid that even if you have to strike it 4-5 times, it will still have enough accelerant to light. It's a good amount of flame. Plenty for lighting a small stove or lamp.Since you only need a little lighter fluid - I use Zippo fuel, you don't need to worry about filling the reservoir up all the way. That's a good thing since it's metal cylinder, so you can exactly see easily into the thing to know how much to put in it.Overall, this is a decent lighting tool for the price.It's fun to light and hits all the right caveman instincts when you get the flame going. I bought it to use for camping. I would buy another if I need one and I do recommend it.

This thing works pretty good.Once you add the Kerosene to the holder, it lights really quickly and easily. Fortunately they provide you with extra rope to replace on the tip, because that does burn through fairly quickly depending on how often you use it.I was testing it out to light candles around the house. Will probably buy a few more to add to our To-Go backs. Its a better product to use when you have to evacuate etc. than having a book of matches that can get wet.ADVISE: You must buy Kerosene separate.

Love it I've had it for a while now Use it as my key chain When my Zippo runs out of fluid I use it Can't count how many times I've used it But it's holding up Beautifully And the bottle opener does come in handy from time to time

Once you get it lit, its a strong flame (positive) but getting the 'strikes' to spark already isn't as easy as other flint/steel items i have. Then, even when you get the spark, doesn't mean it will actually light up.Maybe others have an easier use, but expect about 10-20 strikes to get it fully lit, not a 'one-time' strike as they make it seem. Also, how does putting it back in (while lit) not make the whole thing go up in flames as that 'hole' is the same spot where the lighter fluid goes.

It does what it says it does. It may take a few tries to get it lit, but it works.

This is an excellent replacement for putting keys on your belt loop. And it has a fire starter. It also comes with a spare wick and o-rings, which was a pleasant surprise.
