Newa Aquarium Hang On Power Gravel and Sand Cleaner PGR2000

I have previously purchased several different devices that do this job, all either fail or are cumbersome, break, or make more work than I expected.This unit is bloomin brilliant. I can "hoover" away in my tank for as long as it takes, without losing/changing water and without replacing batteries or making a mess. Plug in and hoover till its done. Changing the "bag" is a little chore but compared to the alternatives, no problem.It may seem expensive, but to be honest I wouldnt want it to be cheaper as it would probably be of inferior quality and not work so well or last as long. I have two tanks so doubly beneficial and easy to use on both tanks. Its not a "fit and forget" more a clip on and use kinda guy.I wanted a ton of "experts" on line reviewing this before buying and most said it was great but expensive. I agree its great, but probably about the right money. Aquariums are not cheap to run, so if you can afford one my guess is that you can afford this, and I would suggest you wont regret it.

i have tried manual cleaners and other alternatives too, and another brand and design of powered cleaner, i have to say this is much more powerful and very good at removing waist from gravel, occasional some will get returned to tank through the filter sock, but in fairness it was no hardship.i agree the sock is very weak and tears easily and a replacement would be great in the box, but i will look at alternatives to try.overall i am more impressed than i thought i was going to be, my first purchase of the different brand and model i had to stop and clean box and sponge serval times, with this particular model i only stopped to clean the sock once, the suction is reasonable and often will lift the gravel too... lol.. but the strainer at top prevent gravel going to the pump...in a simple short answer, Yes i will recommend this product to any one, although there are many sellers with different names but overall the product is the same

Ok so I have gone from battery suction cleaner to this and I have been looking at a plug in cleaner for ages.Once I got to grips of where and what attaches to what and the guidance of my partner’s help, otherwise I’d be looking at this product with a load of questions.Anyways finally got it going and working and it’s super powerful.So glad I made this purchase now. I do wish that it came with more that just the one white wool thing that catches the dirt from the fishies.

I am very pleased with my order I have had one before and I had it for 4 years so I hope this is as good

It’s awkward to get started but has good suction,, just a shame the bag turns all the detritus into pop soup and it all goes back into the tank as cloudy snow water

It works great but don't use if you have fry in the tank it clean them up5*****

Do not buy one of theses, I tried one and the filter that rubbish it sent all the waste back in to the tank,
