SturdiwheatAll Natural Waffle Mix, Original, 16-Ounce Package (Pack of 4)

I really was looking forward to receiving my first Subscribe and Save shipment of this pancake mix; it sounds so great. What's not to like about natural pancake mix with nuts and only need to add water?Well, first thing was that the individual 16-ounce bags all were leaking mix and it was impossible to use the product without getting mix everywhere. To make four 3-4 inch pancakes used up a cup of the mix and this mix is not inexpensive. As I was scooping and then mixing, I kept trying to find the pieces of nuts. Lastly, a few specks of darker matter were visible but none bigger than 1/16th of an inch or so it appeared to me while making them and then while eating them.All of the above is still correct but when I opened the second bag of mix (or rather, let the mix dribble from the ripped bag), I noticed pieces of nuts. When I ate them, a huge difference; the pancakes were delicious. More consistency in content and better packaging would be my suggestions. The product itself in the second bag really was good.Yes, the pancakes tasted very good and occasionally got a taste of pecan but just a hint. This is just not good enough for the money I paid for this product and the hype it was given.

We've been buying Sturdiwheat for years. We think it is as good as home made. The flavor is wonderful with a nutty quality. Waffles and pancakes are equally delicious. A bonus now is you can get buckwheat mix also. I often make half and half with the two mixes for variety. And you have to use pure maple syrup for optimum mouth appeal. As a matter of fact I'm going to make them for lunch. Hmm.

I don't add the oil and make pancakes with this mix.

These yummy popovers cook up perfect in a standard muffin pan and the directions are straightforward. Just add water. A tablespoon of honey is optional. Popovers are easy to make from scratch, but this mix also makes a great hostess gift, especially if you will be staying over and get to enjoy them, too. Kids love the oddball air-filled muffin.Popovers remind me of growing up in New England, where my parents would drive an extra hour to go to the Connecticut restaurant with the great popovers in their bread basket.

Cooked my first batch at followed the instructions to a T. The popovers came out dry. They should be cooked for 5-10 minutes less. There is also no butter flavor with these popovers that you find with other mixes. I will not be buying this again. Also the bags came ripped and got everything else in my package covered in flour and I spent two minute cleaning and re-bagging thr mixes. I would not recommend this product.
