Reflexo-therapy From Kuznetsov's Applicator to Shakti Mat: Forty year-long success story

Too much advertisement and hype not much content.
Update April 13th 2012: I went back to look at this book to see if I was UNFAIR in my review. Remember a review is the buyers or owners opinion. And it hasn't changed. The book does not provide any guides or guide lines on how to treat any particular issue or problem such as sore back, upper back, lower back or leg cramping or foot pain etc. It doesn't give you any "how to" information so that is why I recommended you go to YouTube which is where I got the best advice from users & sellers of these mats both. I bought two of the full size mats because one youtube video showed how you could wrap one leg and hold it with your hand for how long it didn't say or suggest. I bought two because both of my legs have the same problem & made sense to use two at a time. I discovered dual sided 1.5 inch velcro straping is pefect for holding these mats to your leg or arm or limb area. Also the straps then hold your full mats rolled up nice & neat when you are through. I invested in & now believe in the system but this book is more about the jargon of how it came to be but not how to apply or use the mats. Forty Year history perhaps but it's not a practical guide. I'm still dissapointed in spending 10 bucks. I still believe the sellers of the mats themselves should put in print some guide lines as to how to use and how to avoid adaptation. (Adaptation is an actual condition where ones body adapts to the product perscribed. Say you feel your clothes when you first put them on but not throughout the day. Because you adapted to their feel. And a medication or pill may work for a while but after some time your system adapts and you either need to up the dose or find another product.) I would very much like to know if I over use or depend on this mat say for back pain if my body will eventually adapt where it no longer works. Because of this question I don't use my mat on my back all the time as much as I would like. There is the question of over use and if that happened how long a waiting period before your system would respond to this treatment again. I didn't see this addressed in the science in the book at all or the studies they reference. So as a user of the mats my first review stands. I'm sorry the friends of the author are dissapointed. Do I recommend the Technique of these Mat's I do as long as the condition to be treated is appropriate. If this author wants to be published in a medical or scientific journal perhaps it would be better served. But I do not recommend this book to those who are looking to help them figure out how to use the mats themselves.Original Review below:Disapointing at best. I had hoped this would have more theory and less hype and drama and that kind of chatter. For 10 bucks it gave me nothing of substance. Overall you aren't getting much information here. The youtube tapes are better at helping you figure out what to do and how to place the items several manufactures make. Not much difference between them either. Matters not if you have a few more needle points than the other guy or less. They all do the same thing basically which is stimulate your nervous system into sending some pain relief to an area of need in this case it thinks due to the stimulated nerves caused by the multiple pricks of these nasty little nails.....really it can actually feel good and relaxing when you are in pain from an earlier injury like broken ribs and for some reason suddenly months after you healed you start having pain from that....but this book is too specific and plays up the authors ego. Not enough substance about the use or how to use these mats or technics to it's best. So if you want to hear the author beating a drum that's no doubt getting old to.....buy it. If you are looking for something of substance and actually can help you figure out things and applications that apply to your situation.....go to U-tube and do some research for these mat's. Finally all these items need more information supplied with the products...and unfortunately that was what I bought this book for...and it did not deliver.

Good luck!
This mat saved my life. I have pudentalneuralgia doctors do not recognize and even if the do, they have no idea what to do, at least in Des Moines, IA. I thought I would go insane from pain I had, then God sent me an idea to get this mat. Within two months I improved so much, that sometimes forget I have my problem... Close to miracle. This is not for people who can not tolerate pain.. This is for patients who are ready to do anything to get away from the pain they have. Good luck!
