used to buy this at whole foods market, but haven't been able to drive out there for a while now. so happy to find it on amazon. i know the purists poo poo this, but honestly it is a delicious pesto and fresh tasting. for those who don't have the equipment or time to make it fresh, this fills the spot for the taste of pesto when you get that craving. i've tried other brands, but this is by far the best one out there. they also made a wonderful green olive pate that is no longer available. haven't asked the seller about the red pepper pesto, but it is equally delicious.

This is the best basil pesto out of the many I have tried. It's as good as homemade. It's wonderful on pasta, meats, fish, focaccia, and sandwiches. It's also pricier than than the others, but oh well! I just, once again, ordered 4 more jars.

I just love pesto, and year-round, love it in pasta and bean dishes. I wanted to try this brand after reading an enthusiastic review in a cooking publication. I did find the flavor to be excellent for a shelf-stable pesto. My only criticism is that, of the 4 bottles that I ordered, 2 were not quite sealed. One doesn’t want to smell pesto nor feel oil when unwrapping supposedly shelf-stable, bottles of sealed pesto. I opened one immediately, and I hustled all of the remaining into my freezer, and so the leakage should do no harm. However, I will most likely not buy again.

This product was promoted as being among the best of store bought pesto - it is even made in Italy!My experience with this brand is it is so salty, other flavors are obscured. A mouthful of salt, way over the recommended daily intake, escalating your blood pressure for a stroke, is not what your body needs.

I used to be able to get this at my local co-op and when they stopped carrying it I was despondent. It has just the right flavor to my taste buds. Garlicky, salty, nutty, and the basil permeates the whole so thoroughly. I've tried three or four other brands but none come even close. A little goes a long way, so the steep price is well worth the high quality.

I have tried lots of pesto sauces from amazon, supermarkets, grocery stores. Rustichella De'Abruzzo is by far the very best. It has the best flavor and it does not dry up as other store bought pesto sauces. You'll be happy.

Item was damaged and leaking when I got it. Cap was bent. Health concern. No way to return it. Do not buy.

Love this pesto and have ordered many jars. This time the lid on one of the jars was compromised, making product unusable, and olive oil leaked into the wrapping. Wanted it replaced but Amazon said not eligible for return. Was finally able to make contact with Customer Service and they are refunding the cost of both jars. Thank you.
