Q: Designed to keep the cable in the clip all of the time and pull out enough to use or to constantly remove and replace cable as needed?

I put one on side of desk and plugged into the ups on the floor. The length between the holder and the loose end falls over loose so I can pick it up to plug into device for charging in my desk. But you can insert and remove cables as needed as to the holder.

Q: Can it bend to stick to curved surfaces or is it solid and only able to stick to flat surfaces?

It is slightly flexible however I don’t think it would work on a curved surface. If you bend it the holes that hold the cords would expand open.

Q: Will these accommodate round Cat 5 cable?

It would be tight to get a Cat 5 cable in the slot

Q: Anyone use these with xlr or guitar cables? Wondering if the slots are big enough.
