Worthless system and ineffective customer service
Setup was SUPER easy. Senors work fine, not perfect. Customer service has been great. However, the system and the siren pad need work. The siren pad is the worst part of this system. First, it's not very loud. If the TV is on upstairs, you can barely hear the siren downstairs. If it's off and your upstairs, it is still quieter then the vaccum cleaner. When standing next to the siren, again it's not very loud. It should be loud to the point you can't be next to it and you should be able to hear it upstairs with no problems. When the system senses something, it takes 2-3 mins before the siren goes off. This is an issue in that it talks telling you to disarm the system which would just lead a thief directly to it. Then all you have to do is unplug it and it is completely down. Yes, it will still send you an alert to your phone but big deal, by the time you do something about it, the thief is gone while drawing NO ATTENTION to your house. The purpose of an alarm should be to deter a thief IMMEDIATELY upon entering you home. That doesn't happen with this system. The simple fix for this would be to have a rechargeable battery in the base just strong enough to sound the siren for 5 mins once it gets unplugged. Also, like most wifi based systems, when your power is out or your wifi is down, this system will do you no good. Again, it will still send alerts to your phone but nothing AT your house to deter any thieves. The batteries in the sensors are pretty weak. They've only lasted a couple months before having to replace them. Hopefully the new batteries will last longer. The discount they claim they will help you with DOES NOT fully offset the price of the monitoring service; especially since the cost of the monitoring service KEEPS GOING UP. With the monitoring service, I'm not always available to speak on a phone. So if you can't/don't answer, their service will send the police. I've already had a few false alarms happen and that would cause the police to come out unnecessarily. After a couple of those, the police/city will charge you.So in regards to my title, if you have this system WITH A SEPARATE battery powered camera system, I think you would be very well setup. If the alarms go off, you could simply check the cameras to determine the real need of getting the police out. The best reason to have a separate camera system is that if the thieves disable the Kangaroo system, you've still got camera backup. Most thieves are under the impression there would only be one system and once they defeat it, they would go in with a false sense that they are good to go.****UPDATE****Over the course of 5 days since my review, the whole system has failed. The siren pad is changing modes on its own. Two more of the Entry and Motion sensors have stopped working and won't reset. I sent customer service an email and they clearly are too lazy to look up my account to see what I bought and what is going wrong. They can't even read the entire email!!!! Total garbage. Wish I could get my money back but of course the system failed after the return window closed.

Not bad and for the price nearly impossible to beat.
For the price since it's cheap I'll give it a 4 star. If this was much more expensive I wouldn't have kept it. It technically does what it says. Unfortunately the delay on when a door is opened to when the alert goes off is roughly around 10 seconds. That might not seem long but if someone kicks in your door or breaks in the time the alert goes off that person would be on top of you in your bedroom. So it's not the best for if you are home saving your life, but for monitoring your home when you are away this works good. The climate sensor is a nice added touch. I've out mine behind my wash and dryer in case of a leak. I've tested it and it does work. The big question is reliability. I have noticed on a few occasions I have opened a door while the alarm was on and it didn't trigger an alert or in short.. The system didn't know the door was opened. So that's a problem if that one time when someone breaks in and it's doesn't trigger the alarm. I have no idea why it did that. I reshut the door and waited a minute and then reopened it and it did work that time. So maybe it's a little buggy. Either way for the price this is better than nothing. And the year monitoring plan is a pretty good deal incase you are away from home and not near your phone. The company will call police for you if you can't be reached. The company has pretty good customer service and continue to add new features and updates. So I'll stick with it for as it gives me some peace of mind. Hopefully the future updates will make it even better. But again for this price I'm amazed at what you get.

Pets set off
I did not get this setup for home security. I got it to keep track of my teenage kid and try and stop him from sneaking out at night. It set up very easy, it does motion detection, and works well - maybe too well - there is no way to distinguish between a 5'11" 120 lb teenager and an 8lb cat. If anyone has a cat, then you know they are all over the friggen place - and in my experience, no matter how I set up the sensor:1 - higher on the wall2 - higher and upside downthat cat is going to set off that sensor. I was really hoping for a way to set size sensitivity - and I really cannot believe that that kind of sensor is not out there. I should be able to configure the senor and tell it to ignore anything smaller than a toddler. I also think - raising the sensor higher or flipping upsidedown and higher, does not make these sensors "Pet Immune" - if that is what your looking for keep looking. If your setting it up for security, not teen monitoring - and have no pets that are free to roam - this would be a great product. Simple straight forward and does work.
