Brilliantly concise
"The Poetic Edda: A Study Guide" is a wonderful introduction to the strange and surprising world of Old Norse poetry and mythology. For anyone interested in exploring this world, Tetzner's guide is a beautifully concise and handy tool to have alongside The Poetic Edda. It is very well written, and in a world with the cultural richness and depth of Old Norse Scandinavia, I found it hugely useful in bringing clarity and a little contextual explanation when dealing with this famous text. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced student, an enthusiast or someone with a passing interest in Vikings, I would highly recommend this book. I hope Mr. Tetzner provides us with more guides in the future, since there are many other wonderful Old Norse sagas and poems to explore.

One crucial mistake
One crucial mistake too many too fast. His error claims Frigga is ( if NOT an error then he’s just looking for money) associated with Greed. “ Odin burned GULLVEIG thrice times and still she lives.”This “ mistake “ separates the actual, precise, historians from the google professors. I practice the ancestral faith of Asatru and I should have written this book.
