Quality ink
I have no idea what is meant by sheerness, but this ink is lovely for drawing compositions or for writing. More of an electric red-orange than I was expecting but it’s a fun color and holds up to the standards of other Iroshizuku inks I’ve used

Didn't care for the color
Was thinking this was going to be a shade of orange. In reality it's more of a peach color than an orange. It is a Pilot Iroshizuku ink so it is a quality ink that goes on the paper nice, dries in a reasonable amount of time, and flows through the pen nicely. I've had no issues with it in that regard. It will not be one of my top Iroshizuku inks.

Great Ink could have been a bit thicker
Its a great ink and will work well on nearly all 100/120 GSM quality journals. It is quite thin that means that paper needs to be smooth surfaced for it to not bleed/feather.This ink dries very fast I'd say 2-4 seconds. The color is close to the red that is about to transition into orange and is bright.I use ivory paper 120 gsm can write on both sides with no issue using namaki 18k gold nib fine (also from pilot). The Ivory paper makes ink appear a tone more orange but that is what I wanted from the start. This ink is not water resistant at all and neither is advertised as such.

Zesty Vivid Sexy
Like all Iroshizuku inks, fuyu-gaki (persimmon orange-red) flows well, and seems to be on the wetter end of the spectrum. However, while the color is quite brilliant, it's not my favorite orange. I think I like "burnt orange" and this is quite definitely a reddish color. It gives a very saturated persimmonny line on fine paper--- a vibrant color on white or ivory stationary--- but as is often true of good saturating inks, it doesn't shade with as much subtlety as some other Iroshizuku colors like Kon-peki blue or the very brilliant Tsutsuji Azalia. This vendor was very good, however, an excellent price for superb, well behaved ink, and I had my order in about I week if I remember correctly. That's excellent for stuff coming out of Japan. You should get it if you like that orange end of the spectrum and sport it about in a stub italic on letters to lovers. Zesty.

One of the great ones
Fuyu Gaki is a striking colour, a very saturated medium orange with a hint of red; I was afraid it would turn out to be pink but to my eyes it's orange, and distinct from the others I have, J Herbin Orange Indien and Edelstein Mandarin. It might even work as an alternative to red, although it is also distinct from a "true red" like Diamine Poppy Red. It does slightly change colour from when you're you're writing to when it dries. All inks look different depending on the light (sunlight, lamps...), paper and nib; I am reviewing it with sunlight on a very sunny day while seating indoors, writing on HP 32LB paper, with a Platinum "Cool" with a medium nib, which is probably still finer than most european F nibs. It takes a little pressure to get it going but this is probably a peculiarity of the pen, once it does get started it flows nicely, with nice shading. Oh and it makes this transparent pen look very nice.

Iroshizuku inks are always great
Iroshizuku inks are always a good ink to chose. They are well behaved, have great color and it comes with so much ink. This Ink dries fast and has good shading. There is no sheen or shimmer, so it doesn’t really smudge and it doesn’t gunk up a fountain pen.

Beautiful persimmon orange
The orange color is bright and beautiful, reminding me of the rich fall colors in nature. A nice addition to my collection.
