You really don't have a choice for heater vent cables for the Jeep CJs other than these, so I'm glad they still make them. These are okay. But when you manipulate them even a little bit, the shiny chromed plastic covers pop off. I am waiting for the knobs to pull off, as I have read they do over time. Then, I'll bond on a set of metal cover collars and JB-weld the knobs back on. The positive: The lengths are correct.

The cable to the cold air intake needs to be made out of a better steel. Takes a little more effort to open vents. I can move vent very easy by hand but it has two functions . The cable bent.

Out of the three cables 2 worked and one was not long enough for the job.I thought this company produced better products.I would not recommend this product for use on a 76 cj5

Several of the heater vent cables in my Jeep were broken, difficult to move when pulled, and had separated from the dash where they were mounted. After considering my options and based on the prior purchase of an Omix-Ada product, I purchased this Heater Vent Cable kit and installed it. While the task of routing the cables is a bit of a trick due to tight working space, I acomplished the job and am very pleased with the fit and function of these cables.

These things look great, but the little plastic tabs that "snap" into the cut outs on the dash are weak and one of them broke off just by being inserted into the hole. They are cheap, so there isn't any reason to send them back for a replacement item. I'll figure out how to make it work. I wouldn't buy these, instead look for a better quality item.

As stated in other reviews the quality could be better, but at least they shipped 3 cables in the box unlike the other manufacture which only included 2 of 3 and required me to return them and reorder.
