Perfect, but... read for some tips!
Just starting this kit right now and I'm very excited about it. This will be my third Bucilla felt kit and I want to give some tips for beginners. I went through 3 christmas tree ornaments and a christmas stocking this year and I wouldn't say it was easy for a beginner, who is not experienced in such type of crafting. So what should you expect?1. Beads and sequins are really tiny. For the reference - beads are about or less than 1/8 of inch in diameter.2. For this wreath you will need to buy:- polyester fiberfill to fill the wreath itself. You can use leftover felt, but it won't give you even surface on big items.- 2 chenille sticks for stems to help them hold their shape.- poster board or thick cardstock for the wreath itself.- optional - decorative cording to hang the wreath. You are supposed to make the cording on your own from threads, but I wasn't successful with this for christmas ornaments. Cording turned out flimsy and didn't look good, it was falling apart. Maybe it was me, but this can happen with any beginner.3. For convenient storage of beads and threads you can purchase any bead storage system. I use one with 24 small round plastic jars from walmart. It was cheap, but works for me.4. When you work with beads they tend to fall from your hands and it is really hard to catch them and even locate. The best way, as for me - placing them on a piece of felt into a flat paper plate and working above this plate, so that they will fall in it and you won't search through your carpet.5. Take some time to read all instructions for the kit before making anything. You will be able to assume if suggested sequencing is convenient for you.Overall this kit will be more convenient for beginner, because felt pieces are rather big, much bigger, than you will find in ornaments, so they are easier to work with.Colors are bright, designs are really pretty and I hope it will turn out really nice! Good luck to you with this beautiful wreath!

Some faults
I love these kits. Several years ago (30ish) I made stockings kits for each of my child and they have held up great and they were fun and easy to make. I’m a little disappointed in this one. The thread keeps breaking, many of the beads are broken or don’t have the hold punched out and some of the sequins don’t have the hole punched out. The quality has definitely been downgraded. I’m about ready to go buy new thread to use. Also you need poster board and a few pipe cleaners, which it doesn’t say until you start ready the directions. The pipe cleaners should be included. Other then that it’s a cute design and can’t wait to get it done.

Fun, Relaxing, Easy!
I loooved working on this Owl Wreath! It came out awesome! I started it on approximately January 15th and finished on Feb. 7th. This is my 1st Bucilla felt kit. I read some of the reviews, and took advice from them. One suggestion was to purchase a bead box to keep the sequins and beads in. I purchased a box with small cups w/ lids @ Michaels. I used the top of the box to keep the "cups" in while working, then just dabbed up the excess and returned to the cups. I used foam board for the inside, then stuffed on top of it, that way the back is flat, and lies flat against the hanging surface. I found I followed the directions @ times, but found it easier to work on each piece using the #'s and the picture. I did all the leaves, then the Owls, then the branches and acorns. I appliqued everything when done! I have many more kits waiting to work on! It's my new love!

Fun and Sparkly
I'm thrilled with how this owl wreath turned out and I love every Bucilla kit I've worked on. I've done many different types of crafting and these felt kits are my favorite. I used foam board instead of poster board inside the wreath. There are Youtube tutorials from other Bucilla crafters for anyone who wants to try making this but is not sure if they can, so buy it, you'll be so proud of the results!

Fun, and easy to make it.
But, instructions are a little difficult to beginners.Cut, embroider, sequin, and applique. That's all.But you need poliester fiber fill and chenille stick (which can be substituted by garbage bag ties), and cardboard. And button-hole stitch is better than applique(instructions' direction) when you put stuff between the frabrics, because fiberfill overflow just by applique. Of course, you need more threads than applique, so you need to save them.In addition, there're lots of beads, so you need a container to keep them. Instructions say to prepare paper dishes, but I used chocolate box below. I think it's better since it has a cover(you can never finish this in a day, so you need to clean up materials frequently)I really enjoyed this kit, and happy for the outcome.

Nice kit- intermediate difficulty
Just finished this. It took me a solid month and I work quickly. There were plenty of extra materials. The instructions were okay. Not a project for beginners. You will need to buy stuffing and something rigid to make it hold shape. The large owl is very large! Even with two anchor points it still leans forward (I wouldn't pull the head back because it seemed to look awkward that way). I have made several felt kits before; this is the first one to have beads that ALL fit over the provided beading needle.

Cute Owl Wreath
This was my first felt embroidery and appliqué project. I’m not one for a lot of hand sewing, so I was really glad I finally finished it. Originally I was hoping to sew the pieces with my sewing machine, but I learned quickly you can’t…it’s all done

So cute!
My wreath turned out great! It was fun and pretty easy, it took me almost 2 weeks to make. My Grandson loves to wear it like a necklace! Haha!

Doesn't include everything you need
Bought this to stitch for someone's birthday as she loves owls and I love working in felt. Thought it was bit on the pricey side but worth it given all the detail shown on the picture. When it arrived I was very happy with the felt pieces, the sequins, beads and instructions. Less impressed to realise that I had to buy the stuffing, the pipe cleaners ( called chenille sticks in the instructions) and a sheet of poster board 20 inches by 20 inches- try buying a single sheet that big for less than £10!! Nowhere in the description on Amazon did it say the kit was incomplete and that there would be extra expense in order to complete fully in line with the instructions. I'm enjoying the stitching and the result so far is very good but I'm not sure I'd have bought it if I'd known I'd need to spend another £20 on the other items needed. Good fun stitching but beware of the extra costs.

STUNNING
I get some lovely compliments about it on our door and I have ended up making another three for family members, plus the fact I have just ordered another to make for my sister. The hardest part for me is making the actual circular wreath itself, I don’t use poster board just really stiff cardboard, just follow the instructions. The owls themselves and leaves etc are a doddle to make and very enjoyable to do.

Gorgeous felt owl wreath lit
Just arrived but well worth the wait. The kit has everything you need to create a large, owl themed felt wreath (except stuffing). Gorgeous colours … can’t wait to make it up

... a lot of these kits and they are so easy to use everything is explained clearly all you need ...
I have done a lot of these kits and they are so easy to use everything is explained clearly all you need is a scissors and a little toy stuffing and you good to go. This looks lovely on the screen but even better when completed. The colours are really vibrant. Its nice to have something to leave up all year. Bucilla are brilliant.

Have plenty of free time to complete this wreath. It's so relaxing and satisfying to sew.
I loved this Bucilla felt kit. Almost everything you need to complete the wreath is enclosed in the kit. All you have to add is some stuffing and card which aren't expensive.Happy sewing!!
