The media could not be loaded. Personally I LOVE THESE because the number of seedlings I can start in a very small space = more to plant come spring! I had ordered 2 of these several months back and only recently put them together. Yes, it is thin plastic. But if you start clicking them together in the middle and work your way outwards you’re far less likely tear the plastic. If I get time I will submit a video when I assemble my 3 recent purchases. They do seem expensive, but I’m hoping the money spent pays off in a healthier plant. Again, it’s the space saving I am THRILLED about! 😁😁😁3 years later, I love these! I wish they were less expensive and more durable, but there’s nothing else like them. The perfect improvement would be to do them in silicone where there are two separate pieces that come together. I have design ideas flying through my brain that I’m positive would work. But would they be cost effective, probably not.

Worked fine for my sweet peas and the roots were well developed. However, I’m only giving it 4 stars because the plastic is so thin and there were some cracks right out of the box. I expect I’ll get several seasons out of it if I’m careful. The biggest issue is that there’s no way to fit all 8 in the frame. I’d have to crush them all to get the last one in. My unit is army green vs the black in the picture so maybe the incorrect frame was boxed. No idea but it left me very confused. Either poor design or poor packing.

I’ve contemplated buying this for quite a long time. I love growing sweet peas, and many videos tout using these for long root development. But this product is not worth the high price tag (or even one much lower!). The plastic dome came out of the box with a crap in the edge. And in folding the trays over just to set up, two of the eight trays cracked! Even when doing so very carefully!They did work in terms of their purpose. My roots grew long and very healthy! But I won’t be able to use them again. They tore too much to hold soil. Extremely disappointed. I don’t like buying plastic items, but the few that I do, I surely want to last. If anyone comes across deep root trainers that are constructed of sturdier material, please comment on this review. I’d but it in a heart-beat! However, I will not be buying any more from this supplier!

I bought 3 sets because I was in a pinch and delivery was the next day, but wouldn't buy it again. The construction and engineering need to be rethought.1. The "books" are extremely thin and easy to tear when assembling. Also, the fit is not tight or square once closed.2. The rack you place the "books" into is also lighter than it should be and slightly warped and once again nothing is squared once assembled.3. The humidity dome which doubles as a watering bin is a great idea, except it does not fit or "lock" into place like other humidity domes do on seedling trays or wracks. Undermining the efficacy. It is a great watering bin though and should probably only be used as such.4. Like other tree seedling options, each cell has a very big hole on the bottom for drainage and bottom watering. Because of this, it should come with a watering tray and humidity dome. Otherwise, messes are made and left anywhere the loaded rack with books touches. I use a boot tray to keep them on.5. There is no way to keep this neat or clean like other seedling cell options. Dirt will get stuck in the crevices since the fit is not square or tight.

The protective packaging was delivered these delicate devices to me in perfect condition. They're a little tricky to use, but watch some YouTube videos on ot, and you'll find they're worth the effort. With bottom heat and LED lighting my tomato, tomatillo, kale, marjoram and oregano seedlings grew strong deep roots that were not root bound. The plants established quickly when planted out and were not as demanding of regular watering as seedlings grown in standard cell packs.

Would prefer a little heavier of plastic as they are a little flimsy when not in the rack. We're using them for tomatoes, peppers and a few tree seedlings (Pawpaw, perssimon, camellia sinensis) They work great, and showed up one day early!

Durch normales Gießen meiner Tomatenpflänzchen gingen die Töpfe auf.Es entstand eine ziemliche Schweinerei. Das air pruning ist nicht neu.Ich habe bisher Früchstücksbeutel quer zusammengerollt + Tesa zum Fixieren genommen.Mit den hier angebotenen Anzuchtschalen werde ich noch experimentieren.
