Vortex Optics Crossfire Red Dot Sight Gen II- 2 MOA Dot (CF-RD2)

An amazing sight. The build quality is rock solid. Has variable levels of brightness for different environments. Vortex has an amazing warranty in case this sight gets shot out. The battery access and windage adjustments are easy and quick to do. It has held zero after abuse, and the lens are resistant to damage. Absolutely love this product and will purchase other things from the brand in the future. Are there better optics out there? Yes. But do any of them come close to this for the price point? Not even close. If you showed me this sight and i'd never seen it before, I would guess it would be 3-4x the price it actually is.

I won't say great "budget" red dot. I won't say "good for the money". That implies that you're giving up quality for price, and that's something I won't do. I will, however say that if you're looking for a tough, no frills, quality red dot, this one is for you. I wanted a red dot that could stand the rigors of being mounted to a defensive 12 gauge, and I wanted something that was free of gimmicks and unnecessary doodads.There are similar red dots out there, but nothing could sway me from the Vortex name. Owning a Vortex Strikefire II already, I've dealt with their customer service a few times, and let me tell you, nobody stands behind their product more than Vortex. When you have quality optics like this and incredible customer service to back it up, there's no other choice as far as I'm concerned.PROS: No frills quality optic Will withstand shotgun mounting Two mounts included - so if I want to go from AK platform to AR platform, no problem Vortex name Small and unobtrusive Wet conditions are no problemCONS: Brightness control is a bit hard to turn, and it must be turned somewhere between zero and eleven when you want to use it. It does not go from eleven back to zero with one click. Further, it does not feature activation when it senses movement. You either turn it on, leave it on, or turn it off. I don't see this making a difference because I don't foresee needing a red dot if somebody kicks my bedroom door in.This red dot is perfect for my needs, and you cannot go wrong with the Vortex name.Side note - I do have astigmatism. All red dots look like they're more of a line than a dot. People with better eyesight than mine tell me it's a nice, crisp dot.

This is my third crossfire red dot. They hold zero and have no problems been running these red dots for years now.

I like the sight; the red dot is clear without any ghosting, its worth the money.

This is a well made and rugged optic. Vortex is a great company and makes solid equipment. This is no exception with but a couple issues. First, the optic is clear and the red dot is adjustable and plenty bright in sunlight. Second, the mount is rock solid. I have this mounted on an AK platform with the low mount. Works great!Third, this optic is very lightweight which is alway a plus.The only issues are with the dial for activating and adjusting the dot. First, it is extremely stiff and difficult to turn. Second, it has to be turned back in the opposite direction to turn the unit off. It does not turn past the highest setting to turn off. Not deal breakers especially for the price but just an annoyance.Overall a very solid and affordable unit.

Purchased this for my M4 and well worth the money. I have used numerous optics in my years of service and other job. Well worth the money, and great product!!!!

So far all works great. Installed easily. I still need to get out and use it on my 44 mag but products seem like another great Vortex product.

This sight is awesome. I’ve bought one for one of my ars and I’ll be getting more.

Habe das Rotpunktvisier auf meinem Anschlagschaft für meine 9mm montiert.Der Rotpunkt ist klar und sauber zu erkennen. Benutze es für 25m Scheiben schießen und Fallscheibe. Hatte es nach 8 Schüssen auf meine Waffe eingeschoßen. Für diesen Preis eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Hoffe es bleibt mit lange erhalten.

12番散弾銃に装着して、スラグ弾を撃ってみました。３～4発に撃つと赤点が消えてしまいます。つまみを回すと復活します！値段次第ですね。と言う事で実用度は低いです。。。
