ACR GLOBALFIX™ V4 and ResQLink 400 Survival Kit with EPIRB, Personal Locator Beacon, Ditch Bag, and Safety Gear

I needed a new EPIRB for my next boat and found that this bundle brought some value. I have never "used" an EPIRB or PLB and hope I never need to, but I anticipate that the technology is sound.The Ditch Bag is a nice component of the bundle and is generally well designed and constructed for the purpose. It has about the right amount of capacity for my sailing plans and will fit just right in the space I have planned for it in a cockpit lazarette.One downside of the Ditch Bag is that the exterior pocket that is labelled "EPIRB," and presumably designed to hold the EPIRB, is significantly too small to securely hold the EPIRB. The opening of the pocket is much too small for the large top of the EPIRB device. Alternatively, I will carry the EPIRB on the inside of the bag and perhaps use the exterior pocket to hold a collection of day/night flares.

I am impressed and satisfied by this EPERB kit. Everything is as described, and the bag is certainly heavy duty, perfect for a ditch bag. While I hope I wont be using it, if I do I have no question that everything I need for a safe recovery is included. Thanks!!
