Crimestopper RS4-RS5 Replacement Remote - 5 Button

Good device but the batteries were DOA, so I had to go spend $10 to replace them and open the device up to get it to work. After I replaced them the device worked good. I would recommend this.Update they took care of the issue with the batterie and I would definitely recommend getting this even more from them now.

I ordered this as a replacement remote ('Transmitter' as the manual mostly refers to it) for the RS4-G5 base unit that had already been installed in my car and working fine until one recent day, my remote/transmitter just stopped working (don't why, I even tried replacing the batteries).Getting the replacement hooked up was a little time consuming, just from a reading standpoint (the downloaded installation manual - no instructions came with the replacement remote). If my reading had been focused on the right spot right away, it would have helped - read the Transmitter Programming chapter (page 23 (as of today)). But once I understood what I was supposed to do, it was straightforward.For someone that just wants the "answer" right here right now on getting a replacement remote hooked up, basically... 1) turn the car's ignition key to on (but Not running); 2) press the valet/program button 4 times (it should already be plugged into the RS4-G5 base unit); 3) press the Lock button (firmly, but just for a moment) on the new remote; and 4) turn the car off. You should hear some horn chirps or hear some clicking/"noise" from the base unit as your going through these steps.That's it.

Everything was perfect was on time and it worked perfectly!!!
