Really good drone with very good camera and GPS.
This is my first done and I am really glad I pick this one.I had to assemble some parts first but I think its pretty standard and fairly easy if you follow simple instructions. Its good idea to start with the charger and battery, so it's plugged in while you get ready with the drone. It comes nearly fully charged but I had to top it up for about 3 hours.Once you have drone assembled charged the battery and fitted AA batteries (not supplied) in the remote, you are good to go.The next stage is the calibration process, this has to be carried out each time before use. It’s pretty simple process that involves spinning the whole drone around 3 times in two axis. I found a video online when you spin around holding the drone in front of you and that worked for me no problem. Drone was flying really well and it was easy to control. It is possible to connect you phone to it if you want to view the video from the camera as it flies. This is easy to do and the remote is provided with clip on attachment with to hold it. My samsung S8 had no problems. The ophelia GPS app available to download from Google play or app store will allow to record the video on a phone, and in addition there is a card slot on the drone to save video and photos.Flying was fun, press a button on the remote to unlock it then a button for an easy start where the drone goes up about 2 m and hovers waiting for further commands. There are two modes for controlling the drone, the default one is easy but I prefer the second option that requires activation.GPS helps you to control the drone and prevents it from drifting off when it's windy. This can be turned off once your are more confident pilot. If you get confused with the controls and your drone is a little further away you can press return home button and it will come back to the same location where it took off at a safe height avoiding any obstacles, saving you the worry of loosing/ damaging it. This also happens automatically when the battery is about to die or drone flies out of reach - it is really good for peace of mind for a beginner like me.The images from the camera are really good, way better than I expected, so there is no need for another one. It is possible to adjust the angle of the camera anywhere between 90 degrees downwards even mid-flight (there is a button on the side of the remote). I dont know for sure yet but it doesn't seem like there is an easier way to change the camera should you wish, for a GoPro for example like in the previous model of this drone. The app allows you for few more options such as ''follow me'' ( you need a device with GPS on you so the drone can track you), you can get it to follow points you have put on a map and return back to you.The only problem I see is that you can't change the camera as easy as I was expecting, only because I was hoping to use my GoPro but like I said before supplied camera is really good anyway. The battery gives you around 20 mins of flying and from what I gather form online reviews about other drones it is really good. Charging takes really long time (about 5-7h) so I recommend spare battery if you plan to use it often. Supplied charger has a space for 2 batteries anyway so it would be handy to have a spare one.Overall really good flying kit, for beginners and probably for more advanced users too.

Brilliant first time drone
This is the first time I have ever bought anything I felt the need to write a review. I have bought many cheap drones over the years and been disappointed, with either their performance or build quality. This is completely different I have included a ruler in the picture to give an indication of the size of the drone. It’s extremely well built, with extra bits in case you crash. But I have to say you really need to abuse this drone to have an accident. If you let go of the stick it just goes into a hover. I found it to be stable and for the first time I feel in control and I’m flying. The instructions could be a little clearer if I had to criticise anything. But once you have the app on your phone it doesn’t take long to get going. I know there are better drones out there. But for this money, I would say anyone wanting a semi professional drone or a beginner should definitely try this first.

Easy to fly and great camera
Some self assembly is required out of the box, but nothing too difficult. You have to fit the landing gear (easy), propellers (easy), camera (easy) and optional propeller guards (fiddly). The guards were difficult to fit because I couldn’t get them to click into place firmly. Once you have done this, charged the battery and fitted AA batteries (not supplied) in the remote, you are ready to go.The next stage is the calibration process. Annoyingly, this has to be carried out before each use. It’s a simple process though, involving spinning the whole drone around 3 times in two axis. You need to take some time to practise this and get it right or it will not fly how you expect, as I found to my cost when I crashed it into a wall. You can connect you phone to it if you want to view the video from the camera as it flies. This is easy to do and there is a mount on the remote to hold it. I used an iPhone with no problems. You download an app and this allows you to record the video on your phone, but there is also a card slot on the drone to record as well.Flying was a doddle, you just press a button on the remote and it rises about 2m off the ground and just hovers waiting for further commands. The in built GPS keeps it stable, you can then practice moving it around, but as soon as you stop, it just stays where it is. If you push another button it will slowly descend and land where it is. Easy! Is you push the return home button, it will return to where it set off, but it will rise up to 30m or so before it does this to avoid obstacles. The images from the camera are excellent, way better than expected, so you don’t need to fit another one. Using the app, you can get it to follow points you have put on a map and return back to you. It also has a “follow me” mode where it will follow the controller from a height you have set. I haven’t tried this, but imagine it would be good on a bike. The instructions say not to use a motor vehicle though. The only problem I see is that it does not have a built in proximity warning, so if you went through trees, it would crash into them unless high enough. It also allows you to set a maximum height of flight which allows you to comply with the relevant laws. The battery lasts about 20 mins, which I am told is good, but takes several hours to recharge to avoid overheating, so you need a spare battery if you are using it a lot. So all in all, a fun and easy to use bit of kit. This was my first drone, and I was able to use it within a hour.Cons? Well the propeller guards are not robust, when I crashed into the wall, they immediately fell off and some damage occurred on the propeller tips. It doesn’t detect a crash and turn them off immediately, either. You can’t change the angle of the camera in flight, you have to set it before you set off.Where can you actually fly it? If you read the rules, it can’t be flown in a built up area, which is basically anywhere with houses. This means that you are limited to the countryside only. There are new rules coming out where you will have to register a drone and pass an online test, supposedly before the end of the year. But this applies to all drones. This is not a toy.

Brilliant, amazing, quality.
Very impressed with this drone. I have wanted a drone for a long time & my wife surprised me with this one and I am extremely impressed.Easy to set up, easy to calibrate and for a beginner this is easy to fly and get to grips with. Looking forward to getting out and about with it and seeing what it can do in more depth.Highly recommend this drone for beginners or intermediates.

Excellent drone
This drone is really cool. It is easy to set up and the camera function works really well linking to the phone on an app.Flying it takes some getting used to, but that’s to be expected.
