Smart LED Storm 360 V2 with REMOTE CONTROL to control the LED colors & effects

Ok, so I am rather new to the Xbox 360 case mod scene, but I have installed things in a PC before (HDD, Fans, RAM, DVD drives) so I was somewhat familiar to the installation...This is a GREAT purchase!!! I mean really, the effect you have on people with normal boring xbox 360's, or people with case modded xbox 360s with only one color LED, is just fantastic!I mean this doesn't cost much at all, 15 or 20 dollars, I don't even remember, thats how insignificant the price was to this product haha. The installation is super simple. I didnt even watch any of the video installations on here and I knew right away how to do it, and did so flawlessly. Just remove the 2way power cable (2x5 pin i believe) from the MOBO and DVD drive, plug this one in to the MOBO and the other end back to the DVD drive. place the "processor box" wherever you please, and the IR reciever somewhere rather OPEN (perhaps tape/glue it to the top of the dvd drive?) Tape the LED strips to both sides and VIOLA! easy as that. Power that sucker on, and you will really love this when u first see those lights. They are easily visible in a fully lit room, and FLOOD a pitch black room with color!The remote, however, is sort of dumb... Everything functions brilliantly, and has a replaceable CR2025 battery, but the colors are a little off, haha.I will show you, here are the colors as written on the remote:White - Off - OnRed - Green - BlueOrange - Yellow - Tealslightly pinkinsh red - cycle - strobefadebut what it ACTUALLY is, is this:White - off - onred - green - blueYELLOW - LIME GREEN - tealPURPLE - cycle - strobefadebut thats just a small, insignificant problem, it doesnt bother me any...But yes, overall I would definitely recommend this product to ANYONE that wants a better Xbox than their friends...WINDOW OR NOT (if u have a window, GREAT! me too!, but if you DONT, than place these LED strips so that the light floods out of the vent holes on the side and its STILL really cool.Here's a pic of mine: [...]Hope this review helped you!(also, that blue light coming from the rear of my xbox is from the Talismoon Whisper fan, also recomended!)

I bought the original set of LED's in March. I had gotten the first set installed and within 3 seconds, the blue LED's popped on the right strip. Needless to say, I was flustered. I immediately had a return slip e-mailed to me. About 5 minutes after I sent out the defective set, I ordered a new set. I figured I just got a bad apple in the bunch.The second set was at my house the next day. Amazon did a great job in taking care of the customer (me) and making sure I was happy. I installed the second set and they have been flawless! I've been having a lot of fun wow-ing my buddies. If it takes power away from the disc drive, my Xbox doesn't know it. The lights are a lot of fun and they are super-bright. My Xbox looks killer in the dark and the light set does nothing but compliment my Ghost Case that I have on it. I am super happy with my light set, but I do have a word to the wise. This light set is of pretty good quality. However, it, along with so many other things, are made in China. If it breaks, just replace it. I promise that you won't be disappointed with these lights!It's been 3 months since I installed these lights and they still work and still work well. Needless to say, I have a feeling that I'm going to enjoy these lights for a while...

I decided to pick up this light kit after a friend of mine got one for his xbox. I got it on time as promised by the company. If you are experienced with taking apart a xbox 360 you will have not problem installing the kit. It plugs into the disk drive power then has a connecter coming off to power the disk drive. The LED "brain" can easily be taped on top of the av connection slot on the motherboard because it is so large. Then tape the sensor close to the top so you can use the remote. I paired up this kit with a shadow ghostcase and a talsmoon whisper fan. It looks really cool and works awesome. It really makes your xbox stand out at LAN parties. Don't pay any attention to people saying it will ruin your disk drive or it makes it run hot. Any long time xbox owner knows just how hot a xbox 360 can get. I have noticed no difference in the way my disk drive works. The only con I can think of for this product is that the wires are too short on the LED strips. I have the xbox pro and struggled to make the lights reach to each side. I did manage to do it with much effort. If you have the xbox 360 slim you should have no problem. This product is well worth the money!

I ordered this Product just 4 days ago and it arrived today, so shipping time was excellent!. I was a little dissapointed to see it arrived in a yellow crappy little bubble envelope, but thats just me. Inside it contained a box with the LEDs and remote(its smaller than i had anticipated :D). Installation was very easy and hiding the wiring was a somewhat annoying since i ran it under the dvd tray, but then again the way you wire it completely depends on you. The remote works perfectly fine and no LEDs were damaged. My case looks amazing now and my facebook blew up with likes and comments. I do have only one complaint though, like other customers, my disc tray gets very hot. I do not know if it has always been like this or not, but i will update this review with links to pictures and a video. Reason im not doing a video review is because I am on my iPad 2. Hope you found this review helpful.Verdict: Great product, easy installation, fast shipping, gorgeous light effects, only problem is hot disc tray.Update(06/07/12): So far so good! Found the solution to the warm disc tray problem, just turn off the lights when playing! I just use them to impress my friends so yes, this is definitely a Five Star Product

I don't know if its the battery in the remote but at some points it wont receive what color i press. But worth it!! looks amazing. Got here in 3 days!
