It works very well in terms of releasing the food regularly as programmed. However, I found it very very difficult to get the cover off the lid. The instructions just say turn it anticlockwise. I found it to be very stiff and unmoveable. I watched a video on youtube and that also made it look very easy. In the end I had to use all my strength to turn it and force it off. Also it's a pity there is no backlight on the lcd display, you really need a torch or very bright light to see the display. And an LED on the batery low would have been helpful. Plus the it makes a slight noise as it releases the biscuits (we don't want to use the recorded voice as it will confuse the cat when we are away) which unfortunately sounds slightly like a dog! Having said all that, it is a good product and does the job, is good value compared with more expensive models, and a big improvement on the rotating switch based feeder we had previously

Been using this for 3 days now, and so far so good! I have 2 cats; one grazes and one who will eat himself into a comatose state. I purchased a Surefeed which opens when it senses his microchip for the grazer. I bought this particular feeder for the greedy one. It has made my life so much easier. He has wet food in a separate bowl at 5.30 am, so spreading out his dry food throughout the day (9.00 am, 12.30 pm, 4.00 pm and 7.30 pm), means I don't have to worry about rushing home to feed him. Also, there is still a long way to go before I have to fill it with more food.I've also programmed the feeder to call him "Charlie Echo, time for food!" and he comes running!Easy to programme. Easy to clean with a damp cloth. I definitely recommend - especially if you're really busy and you want to control your pet's intake.

Have just received cat food feeder look great very futuristic cats not so happy to see their food disappear inside strange object but since it started pouring out the food they have adapted very quickly !! setting the times for meals was easy only confusion was over the meal size in terms of how many grams per meal think it works out at 5g for every meal size , intially didn't realise you had to keep a hold of the play to hear your voice recording but this is also great loud enough for cats to hear bit not loud enough to wake you through the night so far so good

I love this cat food dispenser it is so easy to use. Most people I know can leave a bowl of dry food out for their cat to graze, but my cat will eat it all in one sitting and then throw up, with this I can easily set it for 4 meals in 24 hours and my cat gets regular portions throughout the day/night and I can set the portion size easily too so I know she is having the correct amount of dry food in a day.

My cat figured out out to open my last auto feeder, so this one works great. The portion sizes are not true to what they say, I asked for 4 portions of 5g and ended up with 35g worth of food! So after a little experimenting, I've sorted out the right amount. It's very quiet and looks great in the kitchen.

When I first saw this (and got over the odd robot-like appearance), I wondered if it would work. However we go away for 4 weeks at a time and the cat loves it. Very flexible, accurate and reliable with two power sources.. what more could you want.. apart from being stroked under the chin from time to time!!

Really pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. Easy to program and meant my cat was fed twice a day during our week long holiday. The audio to call the cat could do with being louder. The portion size is small and I ended up programming 8 portions per meal but did the job really well. Can programme for 4 meals a day, if wished. Couldn't get it to work on batteries but the USB/plug cable was fine with an extension lead (used it outside under cover)

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Holds a lot of food so it doesn't have to be filled every day. The cat is being fed the same amount of food but spread out to 4 times a day instead of twice. It's better for the cat as he is being fed at the same time every day which was difficult before we had the Automatic Food Dispenser as we work shifts. I found it easy to use and I'm very happy with my purchase.
