Natural looking
I have a small 10 gallon tank with guppies and snails. I haven't had it set up long but the guppies are already having babies! I got this grass so when I release the babies back into it they don't get eaten. It looks natural in my tank. I washed it with warm water as suggested and they opened up nicely! I used scissors to cut the bottom frame apart to spread it around the tank. I left a block of it whole to float on top. The rest was very easy to anchor by pushing the frame base into the gravel. This adds a very nice touch to my aquarium.

Amazing hiding place for your little aquatic critters
We can go days without seeing the baby fish as they are quite content to hang out in these little plastic plants. I would recommend at least a pair to put together.

Product is not 8.1"
The cardboard is what is 8.1" the product is 6". Not a big issue but might show product size instead of the package size.

This was the finished polish I didn't know I was missing!
5 stars for finished result, 4 stars for the challenge of planting and hiding the grid well enough.Pros:- a springier green on the tips than found in most green aquarium plants, which offers a nice expansion of color palette.- ability to cut into smaller pieces (I bought 2 of these and got NINE pieces of various sizes out!). I do recommend this because the thatch is pretty dense and I envision there might be trouble siphoning debris out from large continuous swaths of mat.- finished effect in the tank is of a lush garden! I planted them around driftwood, rock caves, and at the base of tall plants, and the whole tank now has a polished, soft look. So FIVE STARS for this!Cons:- tips are pointed and I have yet to see a fish try and retrieve food from the leaves; I worry it may be uncomfortable or too spikey, but the plant hasn't been in very long for me to know for sure- my goldfish like to sift through the gravel and I suspect they are undoing my careful work to bury the grids, so they really do need to be buried pretty deep to stay covered
