Rudolph, Frosty & Friends' Favorite Christmas Songs

The Most Wonderful Songs of Them All (That Cover, Though)
In spite of how mind-meltingly insane they are, the Rankin and Bass Christmas specials have been a staple of the season for many generations. Many could argue why that is. Is it because stop-motion animation is an amazing artform that could afford to be appreciated more? Do people have a hard time not falling in love with characters like Frosty or Yukon? Or is it because these specials feature some of the catchiest tunes ever known to mankind? People today complain about how infectious earworms like 'Last Christmas' or 'All I Want for Christmas is You', but we know the real earworms are tunes like 'Put One Foot in Front of the Other' or 'We're A Couple of Misfits'. The only reason they're not as widespread as those other Holiday hits is because, for some unknown reason, they aren't available on iTunes, Amazon Music, or really any song streaming service. However, that doesn't mean these songs haven't been made available to own before. Along with a Sing-A-Long direct-to-video feature showcasing these sensational songs, the late 90s saw Sony release all these wonderful tracks on a collected CD.And yes, this is an official release, despite what the cover would have you believe. Upon seeing it myself here on Amazon, I thought it was surely a bootleg. Clearly any company who had the responsibility of releasing these time-honored tunes would go all out in perfecting the packaging for said tunes. They'd no doubt make new, magnificent cover art while jamming the little booklet full of behind the scenes stories about how the songs were written, right? Apparently not. Leave it to Sony to botch this so badly. Thanks to their incompetence, we get a cover that looks like a bad PhotoShop job that was done the day before shipment. As if the dumb sap put in charge of creating the cover blew off the task for weeks, only to realize he had two hours to turn something in. As a result, this product could easily be fooled for a bad bootleg. Rest assured, it's the genuine deal.Ignoring how my copy came with a weird water stain in the booklet and broken off teeth in the case itself, the CD came scratch free with all the songs playing perfectly. You get all the toe-tapping tunes from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, along with the one melancholy cover of 'The Little Drummer Boy' that sounds way too haunting for me. Seriously, are the ghosts of the Drummer Boy's parents singing this song? Joking aside, the songs sound terrific and it's nice to finally have the soundtrack from Santa Claus is Comin' to Town in my musical library at long last. If you're looking for some nostalgic music to make your season a little brighter, then I say buy this album, but be prepared to make your own cover.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!!
This Christmas compilation of Songs includes all the ones you remember as a child from your favorite Christmas holiday classics. These are the same songs from the holiday movies, like Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, and Frosty the snowman. It will bring back memories of the oldies that are still the best today! You will enjoy the walk down memory lane! Thanks and God Bless!

They simply don't make Christmas music OR shows like they used to.
Classic Christmas songs. Can't go wrong. And not that anybody needed more info, but just how true it is that they are timeless - my parents grew up loving them, I grew up loving them, and my daughter and niece grew up loving them. If you don't? Something somewhere along the line didn't go well for you.

One of my Favourite Christmas CDs
This is one of the Classic CDs that when I listen to the songs, it takes me back to when I was a kid and saw the movies for the first time. They don't make them like they used to, nor do a lot of singers today sing the songs like the old timers, most of whom are now gone. Now that I have this CD, I will be keeping and playing it for a long time to come - hoping to eventually pass this on to someone else who will appreciate it, like I do.
