Amazon Basics Double-Walled Stainless Steel Kettle - 1.7 Liter

Not the greatest kettle but cheap. Better to pay a little more and get a better kettle.

Probably not as energy efficient as a vacuum insulated kettle but still better than a single wall. No level window, but no great problem. The only thing I took a star off for was the lid, which allows water to spill past the edges of the spout if you pour too quickly. Messy, rather than dangerous.

We are normally very pleased with anything bought under the "Amazon Basics" brand, but this kettle was NOT good value for money. No level indicator without opening the top, doesn't pour nicely, and doesn't always seem to turn itself off very quickly once boiling. Otherwise it does the job, and upside was it was available for following day delivery via Amazon Prime when our last kettle failed. But for the price it was disappointing.

This is a good kettle for a great price.I like the double wall and all metal . The outside stays cool and the hot water stays hot for longer which should be more efficient.Looks nice, if plain and works well.There is no mesh filter to catch bits of limescale, only a coarse strainer built in. I'll have to see how that goes. Regular descaling would make that a non-issue.Others commented that the water comes around the lid if you pour fast. It does, but all is good if you pour slow and if you want to pour fast you can just open the lid first.No water level gauge on the outside but the wide neck and wide opening lid make it easy enough to see inside. I don't need an accurate measure.Its quieter than many kettles although certainly not silent.

Large kettle, looks ok, heats water ok. The inside is metal so no plastic touches the water which is good. The kettle is noisy and if you try to pour too fast water spills out round the lid.Apart from that it is find and can’t really complain at the price.

Poor design of spout means it spills when pouring unless you're very careful.

A good size , quick to boil, minimal plastic aftertaste

First we have bought amazons own brand. Was quite surprised by how big it was compared to the old one but got used to it in no time. Easily kept clean and not too noisy when it’s boiling.
