Your need to own a hardware store.
Multiple parts were missing and some parts just did not fit. There were NO, NONE, ZERO, ZILTCH, NA-DA assembly instructions. Good thing I own a hardware store and had FOUR hours available to think it through as to how it might be assembled. I finally got it rigged up to run and it does cut well but, oh, the frustration level was through the roof. I own other Jet products with which I am pleased but this purchase was a real disappointment.

Good saw
Stand looked flimsy at first but is stiff enough to function properly when in use. Great saw, works well. Stand could be a little beefier, but it's adequate. The coolant feature works really well, and the saw makes a very accurate cut.

Great saw, Horrid instructions and Cannot find blades
Was looking for a nice cold cutting band saw and had heard of many people that have the Jet. Item was a little smaller in person that I had imagined but had plenty of power. Very good cut quality.The stand and the instructions for the Stand were less than stellar. Spent an extra few hours engineering the stand as the instructions didn't seem to match that exact model. Maybe I just got the wrong ones.Anyway once it was finally together the stand was fine for the saw.Have not used the coolant function yet as have only been cutting aluminum and it does a great job at that.The most annoying thing so far is the fact you cannot find replacement blades. Highly suggest you search for 68 1/2 replacement blades before purchase.Had I have known how difficult sourcing them was I would have switched to a different model/size.

fire danger
started a fire when the blade stalled, motor thermal overload obviously doesn't work, filled the shop with toxic smoke before it could be put out, considering a lawsuit

Excellent Saw
This is an excellent saw, makes a clean cut for welding every time, makes me look professional. I have cut 4" railroad track with it. Not a good idea, but it will cut it.

I was very disgusted with how poorly it was made
I got this bandsaw from the positive feedback I found with it. So I bought it and when I put it together, I was very disgusted with how poorly it was made.The instructions are the worst ive ever seen!!The base barely went together right and when I put the actual bandsaw on the base it wouldnt even fit!!! Then I went to try to use it the hydraulic unit wouldnt hold pressure even if the unit was in the locked position!! For $919 this machine is the biggest rip off!! Id be better off buying one at harbor freight!!Do yourselves a favor and dont buy this PIECE OF TRASH!!!
