I have my road bike bike hanging from it in my garage. So yeah, I guess it's good. I did take other users advice and used my own screws to secure it to the wall. I used 3 1/2" screws into a stud. My house could collapse, but the rack would still be attached!

Q: Everyone,Does the hook is fixed? I do not like the fold hook,as it is difficult to take the bike out and hang up the bike.

Yes, the hook is fixed and does NOT move. Which makes it easier to remove the bike.

Q: How do you get the handle bars to not fall to the side?

Just had this problem. The hanger was too low on the wall. Stand the bike up as it will hang and measure vertically from floor to front hub. Then, the hook needs to catch the rim about 6" higher (3 spoke openings up on my 27.5"). After raising my hanger two hole patterns or 5 1/2", the front wheel sits in the channel now.

It only comes one way. I can't imagine that it really makes a difference if the wheel hangs hooked from the right of the left. Unless you question has to do with hand dominance, but still would not matter on how the bike hangs. I don't know if this answers your question.
