People have trouble installing the simplest things.
The media could not be loaded.  I ordered 6 of these for my house. I saw all the negative reviews about not being able to access the screw holes straight on. Really people can’t seem to install anything. It’s like their logic gets in the way of their common sense. I had zero - read ZERO - problems installing this. I added a video. And yes, I was holding my phone taking the video AND the curtain rod holder with my LEFT hand while screwing the thing in with my right hand while balancing on a ladder. Uh yeah, you can just screw it in from the side??? Geez- go figure. Admittedly, I did drill the initial hole for the plastic drywall peg at a slight downward angle, maybe about 10 degrees. You can see, however, it did nothing detrimental to the install. You mean the screw driver doesn’t have to be exactly straight on? Uh-yeahhhhh. I’ll let the video speak for itself. Even if you don’t have a power drill, a longnecked Phillips screw driver would most likely suffice. At least the bad reviews seemed to have knocked the price down. Lol.

There is no design flaw, you're just not tooled up.
You literally just need the correct tools and proper skill set to install this. Don't flame the product because you're not handy. If you can't do it, hire someone to do it. You need a long enough screwdriver if you don't have an impact driver with an extension. You also need a drill if you're going to use the anchors (so you should have an impact driver). I was able to bite into the stud and didn't need to the anchors.Actual reviewThe pole is sturdy, it comes with everything you need, it comes with the brackets to hang it, there is no design flaw, it's not expensive, and it was delivered quickly. What is there to complain about?

Tightening the top screw tool
I've read the reviews and thank you for pointing out the design problem with the top screw. It's a real bear to tighten especially when you're close to the cealling. I found s ratchet screw driver Maxcraft 60601 flex ratchet screwdriver. $10.91. I didn't have a lot of clearance tightening the top screw but using this tool made it possible and it wasn't difficult. You have to supply the Philips bits but as I have collected several over the years I was all set I specifically got this tool for this job because I read your reviews thanks

Beautiful & Sturdy
I wanted something simple, that would hold a little heavier curtain, this could hold a couple of the curtains I bought. Very sophisticated looking in my dinning room, and very easy to install above a 72" sliding glass door. For mine, 3 simple bars that slid into each other, for strength, then screw on the ends - voila! , it's done. Advice if you're installing alone: push the bars into each other, to the length you want, before you get on a stepladder, put a piece of tape to hold them in place. Once installed, remove your tape (they slide easily, and if no one is there to help, the tape trick works).

Very sturdy curtain rod- Great for heavy curtains
This is a quality curtain rod for a great price. I needed a curtain rod that was long enough to cover two side-by-side windows and support four patio panels of blackout curtains and it works perfectly. I love the design, and that it looks like a costly curtain rod. There were a few issues with installation as the support arms are curved and blocking full access of the screw driver to the top screw placement. To solve this issue we ended up placing the blocked screw in first with the support arm upside down and then turning upright to place the last screw which seemed to provide a bit better access. Secondly, make sure to hang your curtains before placing one of the decorative ends.

Beautiful once installed but seriouse design flaw for mounting/installing
I LOVE the look of the Decopolitan 1-Inch Urn Single Window Treatment Rod Set, 72 to 144-Inch, Black/Antique Bronze Finish! Now that it is hung up I am so happy with it.I read all the reviews before purchasing... as almost everyone/if not everyone stated there is a design flaw in this making it a huge pain in the bootey to install. I kept searching for something of the same look but just couldn't find anything else so I settled on this one, I did take another reviewers advice and ordered the Maxcraft 60601 flex ratchet screwdriver which they said they purchased for $10.91 - I purchased it for $12.99. Because the rod set is so long it needs more than one person to install it...and who am I kidding I was never installing it, I got all the stuff out for my husband to do and I planned to help hold the rod when he needed or pass him tools, screws etc.Well, he was not a fan of the pretty Decopolitan Window Treatment! He complained the entire time he was installing it, said yes there fore sure is a design flaw as trying to get the top screw in is near impossible. He did however get it done. But, the Maxcraft 6061 flex ratchet was of no use to us for installing the window treatment rod. I tried to return it online via Amazon but, received an error code that it is not returnable, after a quick chat with an Amazon Representative I was credited back the purchase price of the $12.99 for the Maxcraft. So, save yourself some $ and don't get it for this install. Know ahead of time that it will be a pain to install but, it can be done with perseverance. The curtains are H.Versailtex Clearance Curtains Extra Wide Textured Linen Finishing Thermal Insulated Room Darkening Patio Curtains with Antique Grommet Top,96 by 84 Inch-Green Olive-1 Panel in

Great looking window rod -- not difficult to install
Really like the way these curtain rods look. I used them to hang sports banners in my basement. They were not as easy to install as some curtain rods, but they were not difficult. Simply measure and drill the top hole with a smaller drill bit, then screw it in place with the bracket. You can purchase a specialty screw driver to help after you get it started. I've included a photo of this screwdriver. Though the top screw is a bit more challenging than some curtain rods, this mounting bracket looks very classy and it looks more expensive. I like these curtain rods so much that I order six more today, which I will actually use for valances. Highly recommend.

Not 72 inches as advertised
I bought two of these specifically because I needed minimum 72-inch lengths of rods. This size is advertised as 72-144 inches. But they are 50-inch rods. Useless and have to be returned, which is an insane nuisance for me as a handicapped individual who doesn't drive so must pay a taxi in this COVID lockdown to take them to a very distant UPS drop-off location. So much for the "convenience" of online shopping. In addition the rods were shipped loose without packing material inside the box, so were banged around and though they would be usable if the right length it's still an insult to receive an order like that. And because the boxes were left by my separate garage instead of in the shelter of my front door, I didn't find them until they had been soaked with rain and the cardboard had disintegrated. So the boxes are useless for making the returns and I will have to source new cardboard for that job. All down the line, every party involved could have done better.

Very sturdy, holds up my heavy curtains
I really like that there is an inner rod that gives extra strength to the outer rods. I guess this could also be used for extra length, but for my window that's not needed and it makes the whole thing stronger and sturdier. I had to get this because the old rods I had were bending like crazy under my heavy curtains but this one is fantastic and looks great.

Good product at a good price
We used these to hang a heavy set of 4-panel thermal drapes. The total span was 8 feet so we needed something sturdy. With supports at either end and another in the middle this product did the job with ease while looking good at the same time. Super easy to install with measuring tape, hammer and a Phillips screwdriver the job can be done in less than an hour. Good product for the price

Sturdy and elegant looking
We bought the 72" - 144" size in Bright White and are using it at it's shortest without the middle bracket. Sturdy , easy to install and looks great! The only negative is that it came with some scratches and flaws in the paint. We do not notice them when it is installed

Classic look and excellent quality
bought an adjustable center rod and two of these smaller ones to install on a Bay window. Added a couple of adjustable elbows and they fit perfect. This was the only 1" rod I could find on amazon that went as low as 18" making it perfect for the bay window. These look fantastic after installation. Gives the wall classy look rather than just a standard rod with L brackets. Would highly recommend.
